ls the whisper true?
Have heard a whisper that Roeder has one more game to save his job, anybody else heard this?
Unless the board won the lottery rollover last night then I don''t think he will be going anywhere fast.
The Roeder to the Conference!.[:(]
It''s not all doom and gloom in the Conference you know.  Lincoln fans in away games were highly amused to outnumber the home fans on several occasions.  You take what you can from the situation I think.  [:)]

No, but it was a whisper.

If that is correct then it must mean you are going to pay him off.  He won''t go otherwise (my opinion).
I agree. He reminds me of a mildly incompetent NHS surgeon who, having been brought in to complete a heart bypass, now stands surveying the operating theatre, with blood all over the walls and all of the patient''s organs in various plastic dishes, mutters under his breath "what, me?  Finish?  Can''t they see I''m busy?"

He won''t throw the towel in and we can''t afford to sack him. Well not yet.

Can you imagine the comments that he will come out with if he was sacked, this could be his last chance for a top 2 league position and he will want to blame every one from the board, lack of money to the fans to try and save face.

Lets be honest - whats the point in giving someone 1 game to save their job!?!? Even if they win the next game, as soon as we lose a couple thats it, so surely its better to act sooner rather than later. Over to you board members!

Aidey & Malkys green and yellow army!!!!!!!!

Lose to Ipswich and Charlton win then we sit in the relegation zone by Songs of Praise on Sunday evening. We cannot afford to keep the Rodent.

With increased mutterings amongst fans of not renewing season tickets we need to give a new Manager a couple of games to asses what can be done with the limited funds in Jan. It could be a Spurs situation in that all that is required is some Man Management and adjustments of the players we have.

The Board must speculate to accumulate.

i think th real problem lies with the coaches. you cant lose the likes of livermore and foley, (with about 50/60 years experience between them) with a bunch of guys that know how to use a computer. they talk about the fitness, back in the day, a run up mousehold heath did the trick. didnt need a computer to tell us that.basically. until we get back to grassroots stuff. stop relying on a computer, we will struggle.

Cam - this view is the logical one - but consider: if NCFC are relegated from this division for the first time ever, GR will have to take the major share of the blame - and even if he doesn''t, he will still get it. True, he would have liked more money (which manager wouldn''t?) but the squad is now largely of his making. That it has unquestionably improved under GR''s stewardship (but results have not) actually makes his ability as a manager even more questionable IMO. He has also changed the backroom staff so that "our" club is much more like "his" club. Fans would probably accept that if results had come - but they haven''t. If GR is still in charge and we do get relegated, where does that leave his future managerial career? I''m not saying he would walk away in ahurry or completely unaided; but given that the club is broke, with one eye on his future and next post. he may not want to stay the course. Either way it may take a long time to get the club back to its old self-belief of just a few seasons ago.
Malky and Fleming would be my choice.

Yep, great idea. Let''s bring in ex-players just because they''re ex-players.

We need an experienced man at the helm with experience of working on a strict budget. Aidy Boothroyd or Steve Tilson for me.
Boothroyd is not experienced.  Watford was his first senior management post. But I agree re: NCFC ex-players.  Didn''t work for Megson or Deehan, after all.

The irony is that GR does very well for clubs who are in a position such as we are now. So long as its someone else who put them in it in the first place I suppose.
It''s less about ex players for me, more about recognising that we need to start building a team and a team spirit again from scratch using players we own.

We should get Simon Grayson, done wonders at Blackpool with very small budget and will get Hoolahan playing too!
