No Daley On The Bench Then, What A Joke

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine went to the reserves match, an Arsenal fan, and he said that Luke Daley was awesome. Electric pace and looked superb when he went up front. The guy scores a hat trick against a premiership reserve team but apparently this is not good enough Roeder. At any other team an effort like that from a youth player would earn him a place on the bench, but not Roeder.Instead we will have the washed up Cureton on the bench who you can guarantee will offer nothing when he comes on, rather than a young lad on fire and raring to go. He has electric pace im told, which is an asset no matter how hold you are.Roeder''s happy to play Koroma, and even start him, but he wont do the same with our own youth players will he? Can anyone honestly say that Koroma is a better player at this stage than Daley? The message this sends to the entire youth and reserve players is that it doesnt matter what you do, you havent got a chance of the first team, unless your a loan player from Roeder''s little prem black book.

Couldn''t agree more mate. Look at the effect Chris Martin had when he first burst on to the scene.

He lifted the gloom because everyone was chuffed to see one of our youth players doing well, working hard and catching teams who had never heard of him on the hop.

He couldn''t do any worse than Cureton is could he?!

It would be interesting for Glenn to tell us what a youth/reserve team player needs to achieve in order to get a place in the 1st team squad. No wonder Joe Lewis didn''t hang about. I belive Renton has scored 8 in his last 8 outings too. Daley & Renton up to when Leroy''s gone back anyone?
