Dion Dublin...What a ledge

Recommended Posts

Was out in birmingham on a night out last monday with my housemates...(needed to get out of coventry) and bumped into the man himself. He''d been working for sky at the Birmingham Cov game...

He was very aware we had been drinking but had a laugh with us, and we all chatted and had a photo. we had a little conversation about city..he loved it there, and descirbed it as the best place to end his career.

Just a genuine nice guy.

meaning?

Meaning you''ve just run foul of City''s number one fan of all time (and boy, aren''t we lucky to have him?) This is the man who (like his avatar) is so helplessly stuck in a long-disgraced promotion parade from almost half a decade ago, that he cannot accept the rot laid so bluntly before him.

Blimey, who rattled your cage.  I''ll take it as a compliment that you care so much to write such things, thanks.

Meaning "supporters" who cannot say anything good about the club but take every opportunity to have a go.  Some supporter.

Err...it''s true.

[/quote]So Dublin looked like he was just here for one last payday did he? Just going through the motions on the pitch, no passion, no commitment? No, he did not. Most matches he looked the best player on the pitch by a country mile. I didn''t miss a single home league game in the time Dublin was with us and he is one of the very few that can hold his head up high from that period. So maybe that was what he was saying with the "says it all about some so-called fans" - in that they obviously never saw Dublin in a Norwich shirt to suggest he was here merely to put his feet up before retiring.

Despite all of the bilge said that Roeder kept us up last year...Dublin was the man who really did it.

If he''d been any younger though we would never have seen his likes at CR...so better late than never I guess.
