glen roeder on poor recruitment..

Recommended Posts

the guy stated this was the worse squad he had ever had when he turned up here.. and the worse recruitment policy.

considering only a few years ago we won the championship with one of  the players still in the squad who he got rid of thats a poor thing to say.

also a may add mr roeder points on the board dont lie ,we arnt in a much better position now than when we had all those poor players.

plus one of them actually scored against us last saturday or did you forget that.

as regards loan players , you dont know what your talking about .. they dont belong to us this is not thier home ..how on earth are they going to be commited to the club when the season end they wont be here , it makes no difference to them if we get promoted or relegated.

this guy has spent too long with the board... delia started making quick and easy knock together meals- its not going to work in football.

the longer a team play together the more used to each other they get, and get to know each other, and the way they play.

to bring loan players in and say they arnt ready for the championship , any pay wages is crazy then send them back, why bring them here to start with and hes banging on about poor recruitment policies....take a look at your own roeder.

Troy Archibald-Henville.

Got him on loan, paid him wages, never played him even when we had no centre backs. Now back at Spurs but still on loan to us and presumably being paid by us.

Rodent explain this recruitment policy

I didn''t say he was perfect, nor that the Troy deal was a good idea (it wasn''t).

You asked for him to explain it and he already has.

I''m surprised you didn''t "know" that already with your amazing intuition into how his mind works.

Sorry Glenn but the paper I bought didn''t have that rambling. I will try to get a paper on loan that will obviously be better.

...last november he wanted a target man.. should have been top priority.. lets not get one at all...

thats only a year to find his big man.

he would have had more success in putting a advert in the edp.

then someone else has to come in to pay litas wages when obviously hes spent all the buget.

and pay for loan strikers who dont play ie lupoli.. id bet he is on a fair amount per week.

to critise recruitment policy prior to himself is hypicritical.

If you''ve never made a mistake Shefcanary, then you''ve never taken a risk.  And if you''ve never taken a risk, you haven''t lived.

You know as well as I that no Manager walks (sorry, forgot Keegan). Just admit it and stop being high and mighty demanding evidence for an opinion.

Anyone would think that GR has been a raging success in the transfer market loan or otherwise this summer, from what he''s saying about past regimes being poor in recruiting players, just my opinion on the summer players so far.

Kennedy - Good, looks the part, but has had some poorer games recently, maybe his long list of injuries are now causing him problems?

Omozusi - Poor, is he really better than Otsemebor

Henville - Poor, complete waste of resources, been better to keep Spillane here or short term loan him so we could call him back.

Bell - Good, but still very early and could still go either way

Bertrand - Poor this season, not GR''s fault for me, looked very good last year, second season blues for me. Will still be a good player

Grounds - Average, did ok but said he didnt want to come back once he''d got back to Middlesborough

Lupoli - Average, looked ok but GR''s seems to now not rate him, after trying to sign him permanently before getting him on loan.

Lita - Good, but was a home banker really before he came to us, but how long is he going to be with us and wasnt funded by the club.

Sibierski - Average and some poor, has contributed a couple of assists and goals but has also been poor to often.

Hoolahan - Poor but still hope he will come good, seems to have fallen out with GR aswell

Clingan - Good, just what the midfield needed.

Stefanovic - Average/Good, looked good before his sending off at Southhampton, since looked a suspect.

For me 4 players out of 12 recruits who are actually playing well and have not fallen out with GR is not top qaulity scouting or recruitment. Some of the ones who havent played lately look decent players or have potential but he now seems to be falling out with players that he brought to the club, so cant blame that on past regimes, either.

iba i couldnt read any of what you said ..... just what a stupid post how do you justify that...

if roeder was such a clever guy and thought the loan system was good , why didnt he use it to his advantage... loan joe lewis out for a couple of seasons .

instead sell him now for peanuts to be sold for a fortune later ,

i was relating to what i believe and many others regarding his judgement... not a silly post mate
