a1canary 0 Posted November 8, 2008 This is a total and utter joke. Anyone read this, tucked away at the bottom of the post match article on the official site?Apparently he''s gone back to play in their reserves but is still on loan with us. That was supposedly a question from the press - "Where''s Troy? Has he gone back to Spurs," yet they don''t appear to have followed up the answer with: "WHAT THE F**K? Would you care to explain that Glen? Would you care to explain why on God''s earth you brought him here, why you''d rather play DRURY at centre back than him, and why we''re now PAYING SPURS for him to play in THEIR OWN RESERVES!???"Apologies for the capitals but i''m just so angry about this. Well done archant for representing the public/your readers/the fans and asking what they want to know. Isn''t that supposed to be what the press are for? I want answers and an explanation on this. O.T.B.C 0 Posted November 8, 2008 I don''t reckon that we are paying for his wages.
canary cherub 1 Posted November 8, 2008 I daresay Harry wants to have a look at him.

Joanna Grey 0 Posted November 9, 2008
I want answers and an explanation on this.
You should phone up the club then.
Arthur Whittle 0 Posted November 9, 2008
We never paid his wages - Tottenham always have.
I doubt thats true, when you sign a player on loan you pay some or all of the wages, why would Troy be the exception? Although to be fair to you mate, it would explain why he doesnt play wouldnt it?
John Boubepo 0 Posted November 9, 2008 The explanation is simple enough - we have a manager who doesn''t have a Scooby Doo what he''s doing!
a1canary 0 Posted November 10, 2008 Of course we''re still paying his wages WWWB. Why else would he still technically be on loan with us until Jan 1st? He''s not here, he''s not training with us, but the club say he''s still on loan with us. If the agreement is a loan period until Jan 1st, we can''t just cancel part way through and say sorry, here you go, we don''t want him. It''s just as when loans get injured (Bentley, Bates) we still paid their wages. It''s a joke, a criminal waste of money, and makes a mockery of Roeder. I tend to agree with John - he doesn''t have a clue.
we8wba 0 Posted November 10, 2008 do you have a reserve team? if so is he playing?player his age really needs to be least playing competive football. logic says harry/his coaching staff want to have a look at the kid to see if he any good
WeAreYellows49 0 Posted November 10, 2008 We don''t have a reserve team as such, although sometimes there are reserve games, but that''s rare. lol we only just about have enough players for the 1st team, let alone a full reserves team.
Gingerpele 0 Posted November 10, 2008 Why is he here, when we had no Center backs to play, and played Full-backs he wasnt even considerd, what is the piont.
ncfcstar 287 Posted November 10, 2008 Just because we have him on loan, doesn''t mean that we automatically have to pay some/all of his wages. This shows by the fact that Glen hasn''t played him, he is clearly here just to gain experience of how a different club works.
Indeed very unlikelyyou probably have similar set up to us in we have no reserve team but then we arrange so called friendlies - which are for reserves, promising youth and the odd injury return? troy is unlikely to be happy coming to norwich to sit around fiddling his thumbs i would thought he and spurs may have thought he would be more involved with the first team squad
Shaun Tilly Lace 0 Posted November 10, 2008 Perhaps they''re a tiny bit scared of the irascible Glenda. He certainly can be somewhat fiery at times, and it seems as though it only takes the merest hint of criticism to spark him off into an angry tirade.
Shaun Tilly Lace 0 Posted November 10, 2008
Why is he here, when we had no Center backs to play, and played Full-backs he wasnt even considerd, what is the piont.
I think Mr Roeder made a bad mistake but is unprepared to admit it. He doesn''t make mistakes you know! Oh no, only "nasty, classless" people would suggest such a thing.
Jarroldstander 0 Posted November 10, 2008 I remember when we got him on loan it even indicated we had to pay a small fee to secure the deal!
Grando 260 Posted November 10, 2008 Well spotted Jarroldstander - here''s the link to the story on our web site which mentions the signing-on fee. (Therefore I imagine we must be paying at least some/if not all of his wages too).http://www.canaries.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetails/0,,10355~1358570,00.htmlClearly Troy was a transfer mistake by Glen. Don''t expect anyone at the club to admit though.
Grando 260 Posted November 10, 2008 SPURS DEFENDER JOINSPosted on: Fri 08 Aug 2008SPURS central defender Troy Archibald-Henville, 19, has joined the Canaries on a season-long loan deal, subject to Football League ratification.City have paid the London side an undisclosed loan fee to bring Newham-born Archibald-Henville to Carrow Road. He featured in the Spurs FA Youth Cup side of 2005 and was even more involved in the 2006-07 season when he made 18 appearances for the Spurs U18s, eight more at reserve level and was on the bench for the first team games against Wigan and Arsenal in late 2007. ncfcstar 287 Posted November 10, 2008 Why does that mean that we are paying his wages? Loan fees are usually paid whatever the situation.
Camuldonum 0 Posted November 10, 2008 Our understanding is that you paid a fee but that Tottenham are picking up his wages. There were two problems. The first is that while he was training with the first team he was not getting a game and such Reserve team fixtures as were available to give him a run out were pretty low key.Players of this age have mentors from both clubs who are supposed to keep in touch on a weekly basis. He didn''t settle in Norwich away from all his friends and Tottenham decided they could offer him better quality Reserve games so invoked their right to ask for him back. Or, if you prefer, by "mutual consent."Or, as they say in any business: "It''s not working out is it?"You can ask for him back if you want him.

xxxx 0 Posted November 12, 2008 And you have to think he took Koroma on loan in much the same way , how many times had he seen the lad play , Roeder sacked from every club he has managed and not that hard to see why .
