For the first time since I was 12

Recommended Posts

I am feeling nothing when we lose. Not even angry anymore....just very bored and disheartened.

Swansea....take a deep breath and let it sink in. The club cannot even beat Swansea at home anymore...bah who cares? Really glad I watched the rugby today....someone wake me up when the board have gone.

BECAUSE IT IS THE BOARD that needs changing. All institutions mirror their heads and ours are out of ideas and out of cash. Move over- even a pauper with vision would serve more than the current bunch. They had their day....but it is long past the time for regime change

Couldnt even get a draw either. We are 10 points clear of you and unbeaten at home. What a difference a well run club makes.

1st time in my footballing life, when we scored the 2nd, I didn''t feel anything and I just feel really numb now. I''m so fed up.

as a Supporter for 34 years for the very first time i really do not care anymore, cant u lot see its so blatantly obvious as long as we sell

20.000 plus season tickets the board are as happy as pigs in sh*t... because at least 20.000 of u will turn out every week and buy food drink programmes etc....

as Norwich scored their 2nd for the first time in my life i did not whoop, jump up, I looked at my 13 year old and told him he will get more heartache than happiness.....

Forever a Canary but enthusiasm left the building sorry Lads.........

Where do we go from here ??? is it down to the pub i fear............

as Norwich scored their 2nd  - Vinny !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, we didn''t score our 2nd.  They scored out 2nd.

But as for how you responded to your kid, I did the same thing with mine. "It''s 2-3 now, but it was an own goal by them."  He was not enthused at all, and he''s only 11.  It''s not just us dads who are getting tired of this.  At least we parents have some glory years to remember.

I know exactly what you mean, even if we got relegated this season, id be gutted but not upset, because it wouldnt be unlucky or a fluke, it would just be because the team isnt good enough.

We need to find a buyer as soon as poss, or this club will go nowhere but downwards on the pitch.
Is it bad that i''m starting to lose interest in the club. At times I find myself hardly following us anymore, just expecting to lose all the time.Have I sinned Vicar? Or is this normal when you have a board with no money and no ambition?

Lol, quickly, make a new post! [:P]

I totally agree with the original post though. I turn up to games now knowing we are most probably going to lose, and when we do it''s never a shock. Going to carrow road is becoming extremely boring ...

I understand what you are feeling and most others would as well!

I''ve been to Malaysia, all over Europe and to over 90 grounds in this Country to watch Norwich City so I''ve been one of the more regulars but yet I''ve never been so dispondant ever before and my gut feeling is that if things don''t change and that means getting rid of the incapable Roeder then relegation is very likely and we''ll lose at least 4-5000 regular home supporters!

Oh dear! The penny''s just dropped. I''ve just realised what VIYAG is an acronym for. Thanks Mello. Previously I had thought this was something to do with Viagra! [:$]
Yep I was at the England rugby yesterday, not sure which result depressed me more. It wouldnt have been as bad if my text messages werent running slow, received a text at 4:30 to say we were 1-0 up, only to get one through a minute later to say 1-3.

It was the inevitablity of them equalising after we were one up that  depressed me we are just so weak on character, you knew it was comming. I just want a team I can feel proud of again, The side of the 80''s and early 90''s wasnt always the most succesful (although had some good momments) but they always gave their all and I always felt a sense of superiority over fans of other clubs in that the style  of football the team played was first rate. I used to get upset then because we didnt always get what we deserved, unfortuneatly we now get exactly what we deserve.

I too have been going to Carrow Rd since the late 60''s and next week we had plans for a big trip to Nottingham.  That''s now cancelled and we''re heading over to Yarmouth for the day instead to watch the mightly Bloaters and then the City game on the TV.  We still get a train journey, quick card school, beers and and a laugh but can be home quicker after another shite away performance no doubt as Forrest move 3 points nearer to us.  Remember the 4-0 drubbing there a few years ago when they had Hucks on loan?!

Many other clubs supporters have seen the light.  Birmingham v Coventry (ffs that''s like us playing as far away as Long Stratton) had 17,000.  Palarse gates (like the rest of the ground) are crap...Charlton''s are dropping rapidly, Watford...well they''re just Watford, Southampton etc all teams where supporters expectations were raised then due to poor decision making by their Boards and Managers (and the usual lack of funds) have seen those dreams in tatters.

Rodent and the board have to go and go now.  How pitiful was their performance at the AGM.  It was embarrassing to think that these people (who, Rodent apart, know f**k all about football) are running our club into the ground.  As things stand now, for the first time in 40 years I have no enthusiasm to go and watch my team.  A day out with the lads is great but at the end of the day its the football club that sits at the centre and its becoming like a cancer that is slowly eating away at the other things that make up the day.  After next weekend I''m giving it a miss for a few weeks to see how I feel.  As I''ve always said, football is a habit you get into but also one that you can get out of surprisingly quickly.  We''ve lost four or five of our regulars in the last year and at no time have we thought "they don''t know what they''re missing".......

Note that Chris Brown got another couple of goals today....

Buck up Vic, we expect something a bit more positive from a man of the cloth.

Spot on Vicar. You should seriously post on here more often. I completely see where you are coming from. Yes, we can''t beat Swansea at home, or practically any team come to that. We might as well not even turn up to away games, oh hell, we don''t do we!

sure the board are going - and good riddance, but there''s no buyers in footy at the mo - even the pompy speculation this week re south african investors buying in has been firmly squashed since,,,nothing doing anywhere - last sale was man city - but since banking collapse - its all gone quiet over there,,,ssshhuuusshhh...no - but no but - delia and co should have got out well before now, the ''stupid idiots'' to coin a phrase - but having rebuffed cullum in the summer, and with the turners escaping, she''s left holding the baby,,,all the govt measures announced since sept to rescue the economy has more in common with the 1930''s than any recession since then,,, world leaders are meeting this weekend in an attempt to put the brakes onto what could turn into a worldwide economic depression,,,so yeah - where are the buyers??? nowhere - cos the downturn must also impact upon english footy at somepoint, and from an investors point of view - the values allgone - its clearly now overvalued,,,if the smiths don''t lack the stomach, then they surely lack the cash for what could be coming up - bankrolling a loss making business??? maybe losing 3-5000 season ticket holders in jan??? the spectre of relegation???  if i were the board, i''d try to get ahead of this curve by escaping now - imo - its really boiled down to throwing good money after bad - cos i can''t see then getting any decent money by selling the club in the foreseeable future,,,say in 6 months time they could make £2-3m (best possible in my view) - how much will they be leaking each week between then and now??? and by failing to support the playing budget - its more likely we''ll be relegated...if i were the smiths, i''d be looking to sell for a peppercorn £1 to any investor/s who had the ability to refinance the club debt and put £10m minimum into the playing side - maybe based on a consortium of wealthy individuals - you know the ones - them who made a killing in the unregulated and untaxed offshored secondary banking industry,,,yep those £5trillion losses went somewhere [;)]
