OT: Coming soon to a pitch near you, FOUR lino's

Instead of implementign this, we should all be askign why they dont want to use video evidence. Much more effective. Just look at rugbyOf course, that would reduce the impact that a referee has on the game, which might not be in the best interests of the governing bodies of football what with the amount of betting money riding on games worldwide....http://footballisfixed.blogspot.com/
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/europe/7665403.stm[:P]
Cracking. So rather than admitting they are being just a tad obtuse and ignorant on the video evidence front, they would rather appoint  3/4 assistant referees - who I assume would have to confer over any contentious issues. Heaven forbid this sort of discussion/debate may take a few minutes and end up changing the "fast-paced-one-ref-only-his-decision-is-final" philosophy we''ve all grown to love...

4 Lino''s has been mentioned for years... cant see it happening to be honest.

As for TV replays... Rugby, Cricket, Tennis, American football, all are Stop-start Games... you can get periods in footy where the play is flowing andf end to end.. how would you stop the game to view a video.... If a strikers one on one with the keeper and you stop the game to look at a video which it turns out was correctly called (no goal) theres going to be all hell break loose.

Also, it will, ultimately, be down to the referee if he chooses to use the video replay.. its not written in the rules that he has too... Can you imagine "little Hitler" Mike Reilly, or Andy D''Urso swallowing their pride, and possibly admitting they were wrong by using video?

Thats the reason we will never see it in the game....

jas :)
