Huddy 0 Posted October 5, 2008 "There are heroes here now that will stay and there are heroes that are not at Norwich yet but that will start the season here. And that is what our supporters will want to see as well – fresh blood."This is the only quote i could find from Mr Roeder during the summer, about our new heroes. So everyone, you''ve had 2 months and plenty of games to watch GR''s new look Norwich; with us currently sitting 21st in the table, Who is / are your new Heroes(s)?! Would you say your deluded? There are no ''hero'' type players at the moment, there haven''t been for a while. No real cult hero types, apart from hucks I guess. Time will tell if any of the current crop can but I doubt it at the moment.

alex_ncfc 686 Posted October 5, 2008 BarclayBoy,If i was a season ticket holder who had believed the club''s spin (yet again) and re-newed this pre-season, then i would say im deluded. Thankfully i''m only a member, so i can go as and when i please. Sure they are loyal, you''ve got to give them that, but soon enough they will be seen as a laughing stock for the sheer unfounded blind faith they place in the club. They need to realise that NOTHING will change if they keep re-newing, the club will have their money and at the end of the day, that''s all they care about. GJP 79 Posted October 5, 2008 I can''t see anything special about Andy Bishop. Might be a handy player to have in the squad but not convinced he''d score regularly in this league.

No. I for one want to see a change at the top but I support the team on the pitch. Are you suggesting that everyone should stop renewing their season ticket? Then what, the club falls into administration? What a master plan! I am not in your lucky position where I can pick and choose when I go as I don''t live near by!I renewed my season ticket as it gives me the flexibility to go when work permits, if I can''t go then a member of my family who lives in Norfolk gets to go. Everyone''s situation is different. I don''t have blind faith in the board and your right there needs to be a change. But who is going to buy this club? Who has vast sums of money to invest and not get a return....? Without the supporters turning up every week there would be no club, so what’s the plan Alex please enlighten me.... [/quote]And with the supporters turning up in their droves week in week out things will change so much for the better won''t they? Get a grip. The club could survive fans not going at the moment, as most of them have already paid their money up front anyway - if only 15,000 turned up for a home game the board MIGHT just begin to get the message. Barclay Boy 0 Posted October 5, 2008 Alex, if you’re talking about boycotting games that''s different, your right maybe that might make them take notice. But other clubs have talked about such actions but the supporters still turn up e.g. Newcastle. Obviously the club have the season ticket holder’s money for this year and maybe subsequent years depending on the renewal option. Even if they got the message what is going to happen? If nobody is going to buy them out what are they supposed to do? I don''t disagree with what your saying but let’s just hope that there are some investors willing to step forward aey? bringbackterraces 0 Posted October 5, 2008 Still waiting for one on the pitch although the 24000+ who turn up regularly deserve credit cause at many other supposedly bigger clubs if their team played like we are they''d be 5-10000 fans down on we get! I don''t care if get all the ''get over it'' comments thrown at me but at the end of the day our biggest problem is that we are not direct enough in the final 3rd of the field, don''t put the oppostions goal under much pressure and generally seem clueless when we get level with the oppositions 18 yard box. We vitually need to keep sheets in order to win games cause we score so little! Yet Roeder thought it was wise to release one of our best attacking players ever and was still our best attacking player last season despite a poor season blighted by injury and battling a new manager who seemingly didn''t go much on him and will be taking his place amongst other season ticket holders in the Jarold stand next month! Roeder made a massive decision in releasing Darren Huckerby when he still had about 2 more seasons to offer. The guy was outstanding and genuinely played for the shirt and would of taken a big reduction in wages (wages that were paid for a lot of the time by local businessman Carl Moore) to keep his team place!
