Upper Barclay Fight

Recommended Posts

Anyone see the fight in the upper Barclay at the back, E block? One guy got smacked in the face. It took ages for the stewards/police to sort it out. Not sure if it was an away fan but two guys got escorted out.

Still it was more entertaining than the on the pitch action.

A Derby fan got a smack in the face from a City fan when Derby scored.

Ok he should have been in the Derby section however the city fan involved is nothing but a nasty trouble maker.

He and his Mrs in her San Jose shirt were led away along with the Derby fan.

I was sat about 5 seats away from them on the same row, basically there were about 4 lads sitting in front of this guy, and 2 of the lads were city fans, and the other 2 had come down from up north to visit their mate (the Norwich fan) and they wanted to go the game with him, so they weren''t Norwich fans, but they weren''t Derby fans, they were neutral so to speak, but they were cheering on Norwich. When Derby scored their first goal the Norwich fan at the back said "your Derby fans aren''t ya" and smacked one of them in the side of the face, the 4 blokes then understandably kicked off, the Norwich fan on the back row was shouting at them, the stewards came over after about 5 minutes and spoke to them all, the guy at the back started kicking off again, a couple of Norwich fans came walking up the steps to have a go as well but they were moved away from scene and told to go sit down then after the guy became threatening again he finally got removed from the ground. So it was quite funny that nobody was actually a Derby fan at all and it was a lot of fuss about nothing! But the funniest thing is I was sat with my mate who came along, and he was an Ipswich fan, imagine the scene if I would have revealed that :)

You have a mate who is an ITFC supporter and you went with him to NCFC and sat him in the Barclay??? [:O]

i thought norwich was family club? that behaviour is similar to leeds utd

[/quote]

To be fair if you are an away fan the Barclay normally do not take kindly to you sitting in their area.  If you do, keep ya trap shut and don''t wear colours, not hard is it?

I wouldn''t dream of going to an away ground and sitting with fans other than NCFC fans.  I am not that daft.

NCFC is nothing like Leeds, and every club has it''s fair share of trouble makers and knobs.

very true yellow - id put it down as one or two mindless idiots. and i agree with the unhappiness of a potential away fan

i was merely saying leeds utd act as their was violence which wasnt needed! i mean the other supporter didnt make the situation worse in the information we have been given. no need to resort to violence you and derby dont have any history do you? would understand it slightly more if was say a rowdy cardiff, wolves, leeds, stoke, ipswich fan but derby (and he wasnt even that)

I''m not going to excuse the behaviour of the NC fans in fact I hope they get a ban, we don''t need those sort of so called fans at CR.

We don''t have history with Derby so to speak, so really was no excuse.

All I am trying to say, and probably quite poorly is that if you are an away fan visiting CR then the best place to sit is not the Barclay lol or the Snakepit come to that [:S]

going to molineux is fine as long as your sensible! going under the underpass where no police situated or shouting your mouths off outside the stadium obviously arent the brightest. for example i went to leeds other year in my colours. just stuck by follow wolves fans and headed straight for the stadium! are short cuts like the underpass really worth it? like going to forest would you hang about the river trent bridge where they all cross?

loads of away supporters park where i do and they never been hassled what iv seen coming back to their car, nothing ever happend to their car

If an away fans wants to sit in a Norwich fans section, then they should just sit in N&P stand, wont get any hassle there I tell ya, I can remeber one game against Leeds a couple of years back where Leeds won  the game 1-0 and there was a Leeds fan with his son sitting there, neither made much noise or did anything to annoy some City fans during the game up untill the point when Leeds scored their late winner, the pair of them went absolutely mental right in the centre of the stand, and yet not one City fan around them seemed all that fussed about it, I had to turn around and and then bite my tongue to prevent anything from kicking off around the kids and familys who sit there, but I was fumeing at the time and yet not one person around me seemed to notice the two Leeds fans. As for the stewards, well they didn''t seem to give a flying fig either.

Not that I noticed, he and his son stayed up untill the final whistle without one steward even having a word with them, by the way this was in the upper

hardly.. the media made a fuss over it but how many families in Liverpool are half Everton/Half Liverpool?  chances are the lad was related to those sitting around him...

The Merseyside Derby is probbaly the friendliest Derby off the pitch in the world! Brother wont exactly turn on Brother will he?

Actually a few seasons ago we were playing Leeds and I was using my mates season ticket in the N&P. When they went 1-0 up 2 Leeds fans were jumping up and down waving there Leeds scarfies around and going mental. There was quite alot of people having a go at him and then they got escorted! The first time I had seen back bone from the fans in the N&P!

Not really, although there is a rivalry between the two teams their fans have always mixed, odd I know, but it''s the way it''s been for year.

First and foremost they come from Liverpool. It used to be a Catholic/Proddy thing but they pulled most of the terraced houses down in Everton in the 1950''s.

You really aren''t understanding what we''ve said are you?  lol.

A lot of the Liverpool and Everton fans (the ones you see stand and sit together) are most likely family.  Even at the Liverpool v Everton derby you see fans from both sides mixing, healthy banter is had by all.

You really cannot compare their derby and ours.  Totally different feelings to those of Liverpool and Everton.

We really REALLY hate the scum that''s the difference.
