Fozzy - I'll fight for my place in team

Recommended Posts

What a load Of Bull!

We know that most players will do this, or at least expect them to.!

Why do Archant  print pointless pieces of so called news like this? I think we have heard the same from at least 40% of the canary players this year. If they feel so strongly about it, is it not time to see this effort and fight ON the pitch on a Saaturday afternoon instead of the lily livered attempts of late.

Get your act together lads PLEASE!

For god sake give him a break! He is nobody''s favourite player at the moment, as he''s been playing appallingly, but you can''t criticize him for showing desire to turn his form around and help the team win.

Feel free to criticise him after a poor game, but not for that. You are just victimizing one player whom you clearly don''t like, to blame all the teams problems on. At least Fozzy gives 100% when he plays.

''Fozzy gives 110%''That''s not possible is it?  It''s crap like that makes all this BS worse IMO.  He was in the team in the first place and we were still shit.

To fill blank pages!

In reality it would be more interesting news if Fotheringham came out and said he isn''t prepared to fight for his place!

Fotheringhams been poor this season but he has a good atitude!

It''s on CanariesWorld aswell and that''s what Fozzy said. What do you want them to do? Put something he didn''t say?

"Fozzy - I could be Scotland''s finest"

I saw you say this in another thread - have you been to any games this season?

There is no denying Fotheringham puts in the effort, but he is still an average player, who doesn''t inspire those around him, who slows our play down with sideways and backwards passing, and quite frankly we looked a lot better without him in the starting line up on Saturday.

I believe Roeder made yet another of his infamous tactical blunders on Saturday when he moved Clingan out of the midfield after Otsemebor went off.  He could have moved Russell to right back as he has played there before, however, he brought on Fotheringham, and all our forward momentum just disappeared.

I will be totally amazed if Roeder offers Fotheringham a further contract once this year one expires.  There are other clubs in the lower leagues and in Scotland who would probably like to have Fotheringham as their captain.  In my humble opinion he isn''t good enough to get a starting place in our team let alone be captain.  For those who think I am unfairly picking on him, then please name me one game this season where you can honestly say he shone out head and shoulders above everyone else on the field as a leader.

Yes i have been to every home game. And each time i have seen Fatty Crapyson play he has been crap. Against blackpool, he couldn''t cross the ball or start a attacking move, Birmingham he wasn''t much better. Even though Fotherington wants to pass left right and backwards, at least he goes close to marshall so we don''t always have to hoof the ball forward each time.

Completely disagree with you on this one on I''m afraid, i think along with Clingan and Marshall he has been our most consistent (consistently good I mean!) players this season. It is true that he fares better away from Carrow Road but i thought he put a good stint in against both Blackpool and Birmingham.

And it may just be a coincidence, but we''ve struggled since he''s not been in the side.

Well i have to disagree with your statemant i think he has not been are most consistant player, MArshall and clingan i agree with but, Fatty has had about 2 decent games both away, the rest he has been consistantly poor. But everyone is entiltled to a opinion.

And i think we would of struggled even if he was in the team.

Thanks for the warning Wiz. Had I have witnessed this I would have thrown my laptop out of the window in anger. I will avoid that one.

Even when Fozzy was the golden boy last season I new he was crap. His ego is sickening. If he just came out and said he had been playing crap I would respect him a little more. He is crap, always has been and always will be. Plain and simple.

Pattison has definitely had a better start to the season. I''m not completely against Fotheringham but he''s more of a squad player than a player who should start every week.

I have to say, his comment that he was ''used to dominating midfield'' made me laugh. Would that be the same Fotheringham who got pushed off the ball - with ease - twice on Saturday, when in possession?

Oh no! A player who, he says, has been told he is training the best, working his hardest, to winning his place back? Makes sense why everyones complaining about it doesn''t it. He seems over-complementitive of himself, yes, but he''s also said he''s hurt at being out of the team, and is doing everything to get back into it. Confidence is necessary, and afterall, he is the captain of the team. IF he doesn''t show confidence in his own ability during interviews, all the players, especially the young one''s around him, are going to wonder aren''t they?

Is this the same knob that was telling the fans to expect promotion this season? Total joke and a waste of space like the rest of them.

And to think I once complained about Gerry Howshall.

He isn''t saying anything that should not be a MINIMUM expectation of one of our players.  He thinks he is Ronaldo in the Championship, He is another Andy Hughes only worse[:O]

I think the OP was more having a go at the pointless journalism than Fotheringham himself.  What will it be next?  Cureton wants to score? - we''ve had that one haven''t we. A new star of Gambia plays for City place? - there''s another laughable piece of journalism. Roeder looks for a Lita bit of help? - Brilliant that one[:^)]

[/quote]What cr*p, he has never given 100%, well not real 100% only his version of it and for matty well he keeps getting moved round the pitch but still gives good performances and gets MOMs, how many has Fozzy had? I''m glad GR finally had the balls to drop him, the only way he will win his place back is if he blackmails GR with those photo''s that''s what it has to be, because he wouldn''t of got into the team any other way.[:P]
