Puzzy magnet 0 Posted September 22, 2008 "Mr Cullum has been voted Ernst &Young Entrepreneur of the Year and 2007 M&A Dealmaker of the Year, and paid over half of his £9.2 million bonus into a charitable trust he set up last year." More than £4m to charity last year then - although Doncaster would tell you it was just a loan to be repaid if the charity went bust. Sooner or later, this guy has to own Norwich City. He is the answer.
Joanna Grey 0 Posted September 22, 2008 So he gives one days wages (not earnings btw) to charidee, good for him I say but countless others have done the same, why don''t they make the news?
Camuldonum 0 Posted September 22, 2008 Well, it only made the Kent Messenger. Only they and Insurance News are interested in him. The hospice is far better known for being supported by Harry Potter aka Daniel Radcliffe.

And are we all suggesting that Delia Smith does naff all for Charity? Before you all go stupid. I would love to have PC and his money at City but lets not make out he is some sort of Demi-God who will ride into CR on a white charger while at the same time healing the world. Boot 0 Posted September 23, 2008 Black mark against Delia, Michael and Donny? I think not my friend.......not to wish to make things too complicated for the idiots on this board but if he wants to own Norwich City all he has to do is make a bid for the shares - shouldn''t be too difficult for the "king of deals" you would have thought. The fact that he hasn''t suggests that he wants to buy the club on the cheap by creating unrest among the supporters and team thereby putting pressure on the board. This is not the action of a supporter but that of an opportunist businessman - new ground in Great Yarmouth anyone? The fact that saddens me (although it doesn''t surprise me) is that there are so many stupid supporters who fall for this kind of rubbish - as I say if he wants to own the club all he needs to do is buy it! Jules 0 Posted September 23, 2008 I don''t think that his buying the club has really been the sticking point. As far as I am aware the real sticking point in previous negotiations between PC and Delia et al has been on their valuation of the club''s worth. I''m not sure it''s in anyone''s interest to inflate the value of the club since the more money PC will have to shell out to Delia et al at one end will mean less real player money for Roeder at the other. Even though PC is fabulously rich even he must have a figure in his mind as to how much he is willing (at least initially) to sink into the club. What we really want is money to be spent on the team, ergo the cheaper the price PC and Delia can work out for the club the better it will be for the task of team building. Whether we like PC or not he just has to be the way forward given Delia''s limited resources.
Jim Smith 2,610 Posted September 23, 2008 What amuses me about all this is that before news of the Cullum offer came out, Delia would talk about only doing a deal if it was "in the best interests of the club" and to a local investor. Now, the club is apparently happy to talk to people from anywhere, and it boils down to price. At least we are getting beyond the spin now. It always boils down to money. If PC puts his £20m.straight into the club then he becomes the majority shareholder and it takes the power away from Delia''s and MWJ shares and in a sense their holding become worthless.
