Syteanric 1 Posted September 13, 2008 will they ever actually feature?Im still annoyed we essentially wasted loans on these 2.. no fault of their own and we cant comment if they are good players until they play.. but surely if their clubd wanted them to see a different way of football they could of just got them to train with us unoficcially rather than on a loan basis.are we paying their wages too? sure they wont be on much but a penny saved is a penny earned as they say.. we could of used the money elsewhere.jas :)
can u sit down please 0 Posted September 13, 2008 Of course we will see them but will the defence playing well im guessing it wont be just yet. Once injuries and suspensions kick in im sure we will see them. Nice to have a SQUAD for once!
Mr. Bump 0 Posted September 13, 2008 They''re here to do what most first team youth players do, be on the fringe of the first team and try and fill in for injuries. It''s just a shame that our own youth is not good enough for that purpose.

Boro and Spuds pay Archibald-henville and Grounds for not playing... so why should we do it too? yes we have a limited squad but how much match sharpness are they going to lose by not even coming off the bench.. today would of been ideal to blood one of them with 15 minutes to go... give them experiance, a little bit of sharpness..Lack of reserve games and no 1st team action means they will lose match sharpness, would this make them more prone to errors? they will be blowing out of their arses on their debuts.jas :)

Didn''t Grounds come on in the 2nd half today?Grounds is on a 3 mth loan that expires in November around the time Doc will be fit. Kennedy has an injury record that makes the likes of Dyer and Bellamy look the fittest players the world has ever seen and Stefanovic is 33. Some decent (cheap) cover is very handy to have - I can''t imagine that either of the young loanee''s are on huge wages.

Lincs CR 0 Posted September 13, 2008 Grounds came on for the last two minutes... it''s nice to have someone like him for cover.Lets face it, we don''t really need a fully fledged center back on loan, but just what henville and grounds are, young players as a backup, getting experience with a first team during first team training and on match day, more than they will get at their parent clubs.Grounds came on today for the last 5 minutes and seemed to be quite sharp from what I heard.Nothing wrong with brining in young talent to train and get match practice with us... they will feature eventually of their parent clubs will just get annoyed and not bother loaning anyone else to us in the future. When we''re top of the league, I''m sure you will be moaning because you don''t like the fact your Mediterranean pie is served to you by agency staff rather than a fully paid up member of Delia''s Canary Catering. pennywise 0 Posted September 14, 2008 its a long season jas once a few suspensions and the odd injury kick in we`ll be glad we`ve got them , once we`re playing saturday and midweek on a regular basis you will be wondering what you were worried about
Badger 0 Posted September 14, 2008 Stefanovid is in his 30s; Kennedy has had huge injury problems, Docherty is out for 2 or 3 months - surely getting cover is sensible?

lucky green trainers 0 Posted September 14, 2008 yet to see grounds - but not too worried about him, cos drury backs plastic up...as for tory-archi, i''d need to see him play again, but my first impressions are that he''s not up to champs standard - as are most of the reserves - if our central defence pairing gotinjured, then imo jas - roedy would put ozi in there, and semmy in at right back...so that''s cover plan at the mo - until the doc returns...i''ve not seen the plymouth goal - but i''d be disappointed to see grounds or plastic found wanting from play down their left side - did roedy need to shuffle the defence??? i was in and out, so didn''t hear the radio coverage - waiting for the TV highlights... Hooleyfan 0 Posted September 14, 2008 Grounds didn''t do anything to particularly impress in his 5 mins or so yesterday, in fact he made a couple of unforced mistakes if my memory serves me right, like wasting a good build up by ''passing'' into nowhere, so I will reserve judgement.
