AndyJR 0 Posted September 15, 2008 ADAMS BACK ON COLNEY STAFF Posted on: Mon 15 Sep 2008CITYare pleased to confirm former Canary Neil Adams has rejoined theAcademy and will take up the position of Under-14s Coach with immediateeffect.Adams left his position as Under-14s coach in May last season due torestructuring, and is now looking forward to taking up the positionagain in the reformed Youth Academy. He said: "Glenn Roeder approachedme to come back, I accepted and I''m delighted to be back."City boss Roeder commented: "I''m really pleased to have Neil Adamsback on board. He''s an excellent coach and is well respected in thegame. It was unfortunate that due to restructuring of the Academy, wehad to release Neil at the end of last season. However we have nowrejigged the structure to give Neil the chance to come back on board.I''m delighted that Neil has accepted our offer."Adams, 42, was a regular player for the Canaries between 1994-99, making 206 appearances and scoring 30 goals for the Club. nutty nigel 7,902 Posted September 15, 2008 Well actually Plymouth may not be certainties for relegation after all. Maybe it was Norwich''s good play that made them look so poor. Roeder probably made the right decision in not giving Hucks another contract at the end of last season, with the players he has brought in I don''t see many better sides in this division and would think we have a good chance of at least a play-off place. [/quote]I think this is a classic example of why supporters get hacked off with the spin at NCFC. Now there is journalistic license and then there is just treating the fans with contempt. It was well publicised by Adams, and not so discretely by Roeder, that they fell out over comments that Adams made about Roeder and Huckerby. Why make a statement saying that it was due to restructuring when we have all seen different. Hacks me off rubbish like this!

pennywise 0 Posted September 15, 2008 love him or hate him canary call just wouldn`t be the same without adams, i believe he does his best to be objective and always has done, the famous " are you stupid barry" call being a good example, time and again adams refeered to hucks being the main culprit for being caught offside and not the more intelligent players as he put it.. and hucks is supposed to be the one he lost his job over, i think he just says it as he sees it and always has done welcome back neil [<:o)]

Beauseant 0 Posted September 16, 2008 I liked Neil Adams as a player and as a summariser,so I''m glad to hear that he''s going to be involved with the club again. Also pleased to see GR being prepared to backtrack on what I thought at the time was a bit of petty vindictiveness. The guy just keeps going higher in my estimation! Whatever you think of him - you can''t deny Neil Adams doesn''t do that...
