rocky marshall 0 Posted September 17, 2008 He has been made redundant i am led to believe. Redundancies ARE happening at Carrow Road now in order to trim the wage bill.Head of Catering too has moved to Delia''s own company. The timing of this news release was meant to bury it with all of the reports of the match tonight and tomorrow.Doncaster is scything his way through the high earners. This is partly why all of the backroom staff may have been shown the door also.
John Boubepo 0 Posted September 17, 2008 One dodgy win in seven and we can''t score goals, how many points have we picked up over the last 25 games? - the stadium manager had to go, if I was GR I would re-sack Neil Adams after this display!
WeAreYellows49 0 Posted September 17, 2008 Blimey another one who has left, what on earth is going on at our beloved club?
lucky green trainers 0 Posted September 17, 2008 fraid when times are tight, the high earners go - lots of retailers are getting shot of assistant managers/experienced staff - and putting in cheaper options...its not nice, but when the axeman cometh... rocky marshall 0 Posted September 17, 2008 One of the highest earners is still there though - Doomcaster! Its all about ROI - return on investment. Hes not providing a good return as the club under his stewardship is in terminal decline on and off the pitch!

Paul Spector 0 Posted September 17, 2008 At the end of the day, nobody here REALLY cares about the blinkin stadium manager. You''re all just using it as an excuse to have another go at the club.

We will however be in trouble in the new year if a buyer isn''t found.
As my login causes problems [ :o) ] 0 Posted September 18, 2008 I can''t believe anyone said why care about the Stadium Manager? If you go to Carrow Road he influences everything that happens to you off the pitch.Although I didn''t particularly like him because of his attitude over some stewarding issues, he did the job really well and the Club has moved forward with him.It is clearly cost cutting as his number two has been retained with a new title, and he was visibly upset when I saw him the other day.If there is no new investment then we are closer to Administration than I would want to consider. TIL 1010 4,745 Posted September 18, 2008 My understanding is that the Stadium manager and his deputy was being merged into one post which obviously smacks of cost cutting and was told that he would have to re-apply for his position which is common practise. However he chose to spit his dummy out of the pram and was escorted out of the premises. Now i will admit to not being Mr Blackburn''s no1 fan but this situation behind the scenes is worrying. Two directors gone,Andy Cullen,Shaun O''Hara,Leon Blackburn.By all accounts morale in the offices at CR is at an all time low. National express super guard 0 Posted September 18, 2008 we have no need for 2 stadium operations managers, assistant or otherwise. many years ago the club had a group of good stewards (lets call them DA, JA, RG, RB, CE, JA) but eventually as they drifted away, disillusioned with stadium operation managers amongst other things, a number 2 was appointed because those afformentioned senior stewards had all left.Leon is a funny bugger, and I would suggest the new man Mr Battley aint much better, just a cheaper option. Mr Battleys old role, which ''DA'' used to do part time (on Matchdays) was made a fulltime position a few years ago. Now from what I understand Mr Battley will take Mr Blackburns position and someone else (lets call him JP) will take up his old position but only on a matchday as it used to be.What people don''t understand is the hard work and effort that these people put in to doing their job (even if it is only on a Matchday). They have to train and take exams to gain GNVQ''s so that the 25,000 people in the stadium can watch a game of football with as few problems as possible.
