7rew 0 Posted September 3, 2008 Did anyone else hear Doug Ellis (ex Villa owner) talking about takeovers on Today this morning (radio 4).He said that he felt it was important that any takeover (once he said he''d sell, he got loads of offers) had a preexisting connection to the club and wasn''t borrowing money to buy the club.He also said that he sent Randy Lerner away the first time because he wasn''t convinced by his connection (started supporting Villa when at Cambridge Uni) but he came back and convinced Ellis of his commitment to the club.I thought it offered some insight into what must be going on at borad level now and wondered what other peoples views on it were.link to the interview.
