Peter Crouch may well be going back to Villa, unless someone pays a certain amount for a player who cost £5.5m, how much do Villa want whatever it is it will be too much for City.

What other clubs will sign Crouch permanently, certainly no Premier Clubs, then who in Div 1, i.e. those with any money e.g. WBA got 4 strikers (and PC ex Villa), West Ham (Brian Deane more experienced than PC), Sheff Utd (normally in running for everyone but have number of strikers), Reading (got the Goat), Wigan (got the Horse), Millwall (maybe).

I do not think Villa unless they are happy paying PC in the stiffs have any other option than another loan be it City or not.

Unless Villa expect PC to replace Dion or Juan Pablo or sit on bench instead of England''s Vassell. DOL''s options are limited and he must be realistic.

PC has been good for City however I doubt if he has the profile of DH.

So let us have him for season with promise of bonus if promotion, cos PC not Prem class if promoted would City want him permanently ?
