BlyBlyBabes 0 Posted August 24, 2008 I am sure I remember Glenn saying at some time something about needing to build a team of six footers to get out of this league. Or is my memory playing tricks? That came to mind as I enjoyed watching Stoke beat Aston Villa earlier today with a beauty from Ricardo Fuller and a 94th minute winner. Apparently Pulis is continuing with his six footer philosophy in the Prem. Will be interesting to watch the outcome. How are we doing on the six footer front? Anyone know? Or are we going to dink our way up with ballers?OTBC
BunnyB 0 Posted August 24, 2008 Sounds like Stoke are trying to become the new Wimboldone, and yes he did say you need strong, athlet players, which i think we are slowly getting as the teams overal fittness levels proved at Cardiff.

Inch High aka Inchy.. 402 Posted August 25, 2008 Hey B....no can''t be bothered to go back and see what your login was,if you ever make it to a Norwich game(doubt it)why don''t you take a tape measure with you and check. He''s literally like 6ft 7''''-8''''... He would fit the bill! :D Or my brother? 6ft 5 and can hold the ball up nicely, shame he wouldnt score very many though, but might do a little more than mr. cureton

BlyBlyBabes 0 Posted August 26, 2008 Evidently none of you know what proportion of six footers Roeder now has in his squad. And hence how close he is to achieving his objective. Not very, one suspects.Although I suspect that he was just shooting off his mouth when he said it.OTBC

Rather a high risk option these days one would have thought.OTBC
