I have gone back to 96/97 season on soccerbase and the closest we have had is 19 with Iwan and Earnie.

So it really doesnt matter who comes in, statistically they wont find the net to often. Thats not being negative, thats a fact.

So I say lets get behind the boys and roar them to victory!

Earnshaw would have scored a lot more if he didn''t get injured for a few months as well.

its not a matter of scoring goals.

the truth is without a target man we are completely one dimensional the opposition know exactly how we will play and how to stop us scoring. I was at coventry and we clearly had to play the ball through midfield any ball over the top just came back and any crosses into the box were easily dealt with by the centre halves.

A target man gives an outlet to the keeper brings other players into the game and holds the ball up for others to join attack.

Without someone who can fulfill this task we will struggle, not to mention the time it takes to create each opportunity.

Not necessarily, a lot of successful teams over the years haven''t had target men, look at United last season for example. Granted we do need one to give us something different, but its not the end of the world if we don''t get one.

Its not the end of the world if we dont get one , no its not your right, but with Cureton,Lupoli and Koroma as our strikers its almost certainly the end of Championship football.

to score goals!!!!!

i dont care if a 6''6 bruiser scores or a 5''7 winger... getting the goals is whats important!
