Duffman 0 Posted August 18, 2008 Erm, we flirted with relegation 2 seasons in a row with an ageing target man who scored less then 10 goals.Lets not do that to ourselves again. We should be signing better players then this.
Gonzo 0 Posted August 18, 2008 Agreed. All his negativity is crazy - at this moment in time JFH could well be our saviour!

Syteanric 1 Posted August 18, 2008 Dion Dublin looked after his body and was a good athlete, and a credit to fitness in general.JFH is a little fat man.... which would you rather have in the squad?jas :)
Sid 0 Posted August 18, 2008 From what I saw on Saturday, we just need to get anyone in to replace Cureton and Lupoli, both of them were utterly awful esp Lupoli. JFH is not ideal but I think he would be better for us than both of those two put together. It was almost like we were playing with 9 men against Blackpool. ZiggyPiggy 0 Posted August 18, 2008 Cureton yes, lupolio No. That boy will come good, sadly cureton''s best is very evidently (2 seasons) behind him.

He only made the bench yesterday!I''d much rather have someone young, proven and hungry in this league - like Eastwood!

Hooleyfan 0 Posted August 18, 2008 I was not aware that JFH had signed for us...but I cant quite buy the fact that he just happens to be training with the squad to keep his fitness levels up, Why NCFC? Does he have connections in the area?, Is it just convenient for shopping? Does he regularly shop at Asda?
Stevie Wonder 0 Posted August 18, 2008 Yes but Dublin turned out to be a decent signing because of everything he brought to the club i.e his leadership and the example he set to the rest of the squad. Lets be honest for much of his time up front he never looked more likely to score than any other of our players. His first season here he was much better at centre half. There is far too much sentimentality surrounding our club....JFH was hardly a great signing for Cardiff last year. 7 goals in 33 games is the kind of strike rate we are likely to get from our current strikers. Shyster 0 Posted August 18, 2008 We all know that the club should''ve sealed a deal for a decent Target-man months ago, but seriously you lot -- you''re not really pleased with the possible acquisition of Hasselbaink surely? He''s just another ''big'' name for the Board to use to quell the masses, as was the signing of Dublin at that time.I''d rather bleedin'' Berry or even an unknown, hungry & committed twenty something year old from the lower divisions than the retiring, high salaried Hasselbaink.
