Thursday 14th August - My A level results day...

Recommended Posts

Time has arrived for me and some others on here who have their A-Level results at 10am today! if i succeed I will be heading off to Lincoln meaning my regular visits to Carrow Road on saturday afternoon may be hard to come by!

Lets hope we can get a few home wins before September gets here then so I can leave in buoyant mood!

Good luck to the small minority on here also expecting A level results today!

Well, i finished high school this year, but done to AS levels earlier than usual, in the last year of high school. So i''ve only got two results to go pick up, French and IT.

I checked track at 7 and I''ve got the grades for my offer. I was on radio norfolk about 20 minutes ago, didn''t get to say much though.

Good luck to you all.  And for those heading to Lincoln - enjoy the city, get used to walking uphill a lot and don''t forget a visit to Brown''s pie shop.  Sincil Bank a very poor substitute for Carrow Road I''m afraid but this could be a good season for the mighty Imps if you have a spare Saturday afternoon and can tolerate the entirely different world of League Two............................

Good luck lads, I went to Lincoln Uni - finished last year. You will meet a few people from Norwich there no doubt cos I met a few.

Sincil Bank isnt that bad, Lincoln used to be in or around the play offs every year I was there, I even got to invade the pitch once after one of the semi finals!

good luck, remember that it''s not the end of the world if you don''t get what you want.and you should consider busting a gut to get to every home game at least while you''re at uni, you feel like a really great fan if you manage it.

Good luck to all recieving grades today - i went to chester uni for a while, decided i didn''t want to be a journo after all so have had a few years out, working for PGL.Getting ready for 8 months in turkey working in a youth centre next year and then i shall make a much vaunted return to education in Sept 09.I didn''t get the grades I need to do the degree I now want to do but am now 21 (so grade boundaries don''t strictly apply to me) and after turkey should have the experiential skills to get a place (hopefully, anyway) studying International development in the fair City at the UEA :)

university... 5 years of studying in a "specialist" subject to not get a job in that subject afterwards...

jas :)

[/quote]

Many students just become lazy afterwards, go back home to Mummy and Daddy and sit working for NU for the next twenty years...

Others have a bit more drive than that...

degrees arent a waste of time... but employers look to experiance... a graduate who has spent 5 years working in a bar to top up his earnings... or someone who has been doing similar for 3 years.... who would hit the ground running?

jas :)

So, how did the rest of you do?
