birdman 0 Posted July 26, 2008 ALBION WEBSITEAlbion suffered a controversial last gasp defeat when Suffolk referee Mike Thorpe harshly penalised Jonathan Greening for handball in the area. There was further controversy when town sub Lisbie was allowed to fire past Carson despite fouling Carl Hoefkens. Is this within FA rules to have a referee from one of the clubs playing? Blue 0 Posted July 28, 2008 Should anyone be interested (which you are probably not - can''t quite see why this post was made), the re on Saturday was c**p. Dodgy handball - ball to hand - but great if it was given in a league match! However Lisbie did not foul for the wining goal, in fact he stumbled through 2 challenges and showed a bit of determination to carry on, which makes a change from Lee falling over at every opportunity!Anyway, just thought I''d let you know. A win is a win, but it means nothing in pre-season....PS. still nice a busy on here - our website is dead! (OK so that sets up some wisecracks no doubt)

You seem like someone able to discuss the world of football sensibly so hopefully you''ll remain as a regular here. Even though you will find some less welcoming. LondonITFC 0 Posted July 28, 2008 Sorry to dissapoint you Jas but I can confirm that Mr D''urso is far from being a Town fan! I actually live in Billericay and know Mr D''ursos father well, we have had numerous football chats as you can imagine and Mr D''urso supports Spurs!!! He actually HATES us and has told his father as much on numerous occasions. I can assure you that the bad decisions you got at Bristol is nothing compared to the decisions we have had against us by Mr D''urso over the years! In fact if you ask any town fan who is the most hated ref at PR it would be D''urso hands down!! Hope this reassures you!!!!!!
Sing Up The South Stand 0 Posted July 28, 2008 To be fair Jas, I have once crossed enemy lines, saw Ipswich play QPR on a day we weren''t playing - they lost and were poor, but D''Urso was rubbish. I''d say ITFC fan he probably hates Norwich too - never seen him be fair to us when we''ve played either.Or mayb it''s just that he''s poor full stop!!! I''ve never known him have a good game.
