Gunn Rack 0 Posted July 21, 2008 Went out for a few shandies on Friday with a mate of mine who supports Forest. Was very pleased to hear him say he was "****** Gutted" that he had left. Apparently he''s nothing flash, but sits in the middle of the park, distributing the ball, and controlling the game for them. Even when the rest of the team are having a bad one, he recons he''s consistently good.Sounds exactly what we''ve been missing for a long long time.

BOOM!! 0 Posted July 21, 2008 Did anybody else read that as Clingan went out for a drink with his mate and told him he was gutted to leave Forest? LOLMore seriously, i noticed he filled in at centre back on Saturday... Let''s hope this is a one off and we are not about to ruin another players career by constantly playing him out of position. GJP 79 Posted July 21, 2008 Maybe my brain isn''t quite clicking into gear but how many other players have had their careers ruined by being played out of position at Norwich lately?
pennywise 0 Posted July 21, 2008 andrew hughes, he was a sublime midfeilder forced to fill in at rightback
BOOM!! 0 Posted July 21, 2008 Ok maybe ''ruined their careers'' was a bit strong but Mattias Jonson & Ian Henderson spring to mind, I''m sure there are more players who were never played in their natural position for one reason or another and we never got the best out of them. Apparently some guy called Darren Huckerby was a striker before he joined us too...

I''m not sure of the substitute situation at the time, but defensive midfielders and full backs are surely the most likely to fill in a centre back in a injury situation. GJP 79 Posted July 21, 2008 Well Jonson always worked hard but he couldn''t cut it in the Premier League and Henderson was just never good enough in the first place.
