spudgfsh 0 Posted July 21, 2008 we all know bell will be one of them but who are the others?http://new.edp24.co.uk/content/sport/story.aspx?brand=EDPOnline&category=Sport&tBrand=EDPOnline&tCategory=Sport&itemid=NOED21%20Jul%202008%2008%3A50%3A15%3A920
SnakepitCanary 0 Posted July 21, 2008 Well one player is going to sign today, Bell obviously, and he said we should complete a signing tomorrow. Who will that be?It''s going to be a striker I think, either Lupoli or Rasiak.
chris 0 Posted July 21, 2008 cilint eastwood eddie murphy should add experiance to the front line .
Joanna Grey 0 Posted July 21, 2008 A little hint that one of them might not speak English?but I hope there''s enough experience among the new players who are coming in - and football is an international language -
Shack Attack 0 Posted July 21, 2008 "They''re not going to have a lot of time to get to know each other, but I hope there''s enough experience among the new players who are coming in - and football is an international language - that we can click straightaway and I''m sure as the weeks go by we''ll get better as we really get to know each other."A little hint there maybe? Shack Attack 0 Posted July 21, 2008 Aaaaargh beaten to it by two minutes!
First Jedi 0 Posted July 21, 2008 I''m guessing Bell, Lupolo, Ameobi (still holding out for that one?!) and maybe Maikese?I figure Gow is a backup if Ameobi doesn''t happen.
O.T.B.C 1 Posted July 21, 2008 4 hey? Excellant Smithers. 2 strikers and 1 centre back and I would be ok with that. Make it 3 forwards actually.
spudgfsh 0 Posted July 21, 2008 ok, so assume that he''s been impressed with Maikese and the goalie (Nelson is it?) that would give us three of the four...Bell, Maikese, Nelson
Rum Ol Boy 0 Posted July 21, 2008 It has to be Bell today and a striker tomorrow? I wouldn''t think the younger French striker is one of them, I think Roeder will want to see him in action a few more time.....perhaps if hes banged another couple in by the Spurs game we might make him an offer. Ritgers would be the signing I''d like to see
James Kent 0 Posted July 21, 2008 Well the interesting thing appears to be that Roeder squad will be complete with these new signings. Obviously we can use the loan market throughout the season, but it appears 4 more and Roeder is happy, but will the fans be?First of all I think it depends what we buy I think we need one more centre back, two strikers & Bell. Lupoli looks likely as well as a striker for about a million could be Rigters/Rasiak. Also Gow and Gibbs have been mentioned, so it will be interesting to see who comes. Also don''t forget the new keeper could well be the trialist Nelson.
Evil Monkey 52 Posted July 21, 2008 I don''t reckon the current triallists are included within the four, Roeder wouldn''t be talking about the signings being close to complete if they were already here training with us. Lupoli and Bell are hopefully two of them, and the other two... Rigters and Gorkss?
Thorpe Stephen 0 Posted July 21, 2008 I think we can rule out Ameobi - Roeder basically saying he is dealing in a smaller market (in terms of value)
Iwan is God 0 Posted July 21, 2008 One of the 4 has to be a keeper, so I hope that doesn''t mean we''re only getting 3 more outfield players!!???

Joanna Grey 0 Posted July 21, 2008 As I said before (and Shack Attack noticed as well) one of them, at least, will be a foreigner who speaks no english. Lupoli, I presume, speaks english from his time over here so I think one of our new CBs/Strikers will be a bit of a surprise.
Block E Buh 0 Posted July 21, 2008 I think when the fans see the two lads that are going to come in this week - one we''re virtually there with, the other one will probably get completed on Tuesday - they''ll see that the current squad, the squad that''s going to go into the first game at Coventry, is going to be of much higher quality than the squad that started last season. At last, some exciting news! Lets hope we have a good looking squad by the end of the week! Though, no press conferences or interviews for any new signings, why is this?
