Canary_on_the Trent 0 Posted July 16, 2008 we beat Lowestoft 12-0 last year and they''re a better side than Goreleston, cant see a repeat of that but it should be a comfortable win. 8-
spudgfsh 0 Posted July 16, 2008 gorleston win (1-0 or 2-0)
Grow Up Mate 0 Posted July 16, 2008 I think we will win 8-0 with Martin hat trick, Cureton 2, Russell 1, Daley 1, Shackell
O.T.B.C 1 Posted July 16, 2008 The score does not matter, its about getting the fitness levels up, getting a performance of sorts and for the players to gel. Its just an excuse for a run out and to give something back to loca small clubs.

O.T.B.C 1 Posted July 16, 2008 Rubbish?Does it count to points tally in the Champ? No. Does it get you further in the cup? No. Its to get fitness, plain and simple, if we lose 1-0 or win 10-0, it won''t make a blind bit of difference. And regards to helping out Gorleston, how come the manager said it wil be like a cup final to them and having a sellout crowd, will no doubt help them finnacially. can u sit down please 0 Posted July 16, 2008 Afterr playing in a team that beat Gorleston last year quite convincingly and bearing in mind City banged 9(?) past Lowestoft last year im gonna go for 8+.Gorleston are an average team who will have average fitness levels. Michael Starr 571 Posted July 16, 2008 I''ll go one step further... i''ll predict a Chris Martin mastershow... and then people posting on here tomorrow how we no longer need a striker as clearly Martin is world class.
I understand that, but with a near full strength team expected anything less than a victory would be extremely embarrassing imo. Pre season friendlies, though the dont carry much clout, do carry the purpose of boosting morale prior to the start of the season. A couple of big wins against weaker oposition shows that they are playing at the right level. Defeats in these games could be disasterous.
can u sit down please 0 Posted July 16, 2008 Is there any tickets left tonight or can you pay on the gate?
Canarygeorge 0 Posted July 16, 2008
Is there any tickets left tonight or can you pay on the gate?
I''ve got my tcket, but apparenly there are some left for sale at the gate, on a first come, first buy basis. The first "Friendly" game i ever wacthed was West Ham v Santos (Brazil) in about 1960. Pele playing, score 5-4 to West Ham. Score is not important in these games, i''ts all about getting fit. Hopefully we''ll see some entertaining football as well. (truly hope not but my faith in Mr C.Martin has dwindled some what)
