We have a new centre back, at last! Just heard the radio norfolk sport news, i expect him to sign this afternoon.

Sounds like a good signing to me, plenty of premiership experience, and perhaps the leader weve been missing at the back since the mackay/fleming partnership was broken up completely.

I knowAnd tbh charlton was more of a CB than a LB but it just makes it sound worse that malkay was our last CB signing.That said, I''m very happy with this signing but  think it''s several years too late. I would liked to have seen him sign when we got promoted. We''ll see how it goes, but I can''t see him not being in the first XI.

asked "is this the bloke who is 33... and quite slow?"   I was

just  pointing out that age and pace aren''t the be-all and end-all

of Centre Backs....

The ability to read the game is far more important for a defender.. most center backs are slow, but if they can read the ball and get to it before the striker thats the mark of a decent defender...
