KeelansGlove 0 Posted July 18, 2008 I know I have never seen him play and that Both Arsenal and Fiorentina must have seen something about him but his record of seven goals in 34 games for Derby County doesn''t really inspire me.I cant see him displacing Curo with those figures. Thecanaryfan 0 Posted July 18, 2008 Not a convincing goals tally but it is his ability to bring other players into games that makes him special. He would bag a hatful in the Championship. I will be over the moon if he signs.

The same as Ched Evans last year, and a goal every 2 games. Equivalent to 23 goals in a full championship league season (starting every league game)He also has 3 goals in 5 starts for Arsenal. He was only 19 at Derby. Lincs CR 0 Posted July 18, 2008 We all need to remember these two things -1. He is still very very young and is learning all the time2. He''s been loaned out here and there and struggles to find consistency as a result - once he settles down and has a good season or 2 season long stint in the same place his goal scoring rate will pick up.Nevertheless - Get him here Roeder ^_^
The Great Wall Of Tettey 0 Posted July 18, 2008 id rather have him than cureton personally.from watching last season it seems cureton doesnt bring anybody into the game, and thats what we lacked !
Boba Fett 0 Posted July 18, 2008 Wenger doesnt do bad signings! Also why are we saying he will displace Cureton? We only have Cureton at the moment so surely he will play alongside. I would love to see him here... young flamboyant continental style player who is used to playing passing football. I get the feeling that if Glen gets the 3 or 4 players in the next week then the mood on this board will be very much more positive.....

The same Luis Boa Morte that was playing for arsenal at the age of just 20 and is now in his eleventh season in the best league in the world, the same Nicolas Anelka that was bought for 500k and sold for 22.3m after 23 goals in 65 games for Arsenal? Winning the double and the PFA young player of the year award?I have a mate who has had a season ticket for Arsenal for over 20 years who would disagree with everything that you have just said. Canariesworld 0 Posted July 18, 2008 Gilles Grimandi was part of 2 double winning seasons at Arsenal and i believe he still works for the club as a coach/scout or something. I know he may not have played a staring role in either of those seasons but even squad players are crucial when you play so many games and Wenger must think he has something about him to employe him after he finished playing. Boa Morte wasn''t a great signing for Aresnal but again was part of the 98 double winning season and i believe was sold for the same amount as they paid for him. Francis jeffers was a bad signing tho surely?

No matter which way you look at that, that could never be a bad signing. More like one of the best signings in history.

J Dilla (Rest In Beats) 0 Posted July 18, 2008 ive read 442 but cant see what point your trying to make jas. There is no way anelka could be classed as a bad signing. If only noriwch had a striker with half the ability of anelka...
