ron obvious 1,711 Posted July 1, 2008 This is getting hilarious!I was just thinking about what has REALLY happened so far ......Answer, not a lot!Cullum mentions £20m & everyboy here (& the EDP) starts foaming at the mouth, without thinking about what the real cost would be. He himself knows exactly what''s involved, as do the board, who get flamed for pointing out the POTENTIAL MAXIMUM cost INCLUDING investing £20m in the squad. He says he is willing to talk. Now try to exercise a little patience.Wait & see. The ghost of Michael Theoklitos 0 Posted July 1, 2008 Its called "negotiation" Wiz!!Did you actually read the article, or just see the headline and use that as ammo to go off on another one?5th paragraph: "He is however prepared to sit down with club officials and discuss his offer further."This is exactly the sort of article I''d have expected to see today if he was interested in gaining control. The Fish Seller 0 Posted July 1, 2008 “As a starting shot for a club which they think they could take back tothe Premiership in a year or two it would be a steal at £20m. But for aclub where the pinnacle for them is playing in the Championship itwould be a very fair price.”Lets be honest under Delia we''re definitely looking at the pinnacle as being surviving in the Championship so that makes £20m a fair price

Why is the EEN trying to make out that PC only wants to pay £20m to take over the club? He''s never said that. He''s said he will put in £20m for players. Surely it goes without saying that he doesn''t expect to get the club for nothing, and it''s equally obvious that he''s not going to go public on how much he''s prepared to pay. The Walking Man 13 Posted July 1, 2008 According to the EDP yesterday, £20million was for player transfers, it made no mention of any financial offer to shareholders, merely stating that he wanted a controlling stake, now, according to the Evening News, it gives off the impression that £20m was indeed the offer and not just for players. I don''t know what to make of all this now, I think it''s poor journalism by Archant with the facts badly distorted...
