Shola Ameobi has signed for Norwich, despite early reports suggesting that the striker would be heading to Ipswich.

Newcastle have rejected an offer from Liverpool for winger James Milner, revealing that they were offered three "non-entities" in return. Instead they will demand at least £9 million.

Real Zaragoza midfielder Pablo Aimar is being lined up as a potential £4 million replacement for Emre who is returning to Turkey, while Kevin Keegan is following Paris Saint Germain''s France Under-21 international Didier Digard. Emre, however, might not be able to take up his place at Fenerbahce, as he faces being called up to the army.

Newcastle have shown interest in Le Mans midfielder Stephane Sessegnon,

IF this is TRUE where? Where? where did we get 3.5 million from. And if we did get it from the Turners/Delia etc. ... WHY WHY WHY have we spent it on ONE PLAYER?

 

I know 3.5million is not a great deal in todays market, but when you are meant to be skint and 19million in debt it is a lot!!!

IF SOMETHING GOING ON that we don''t know about, board or money/investing? Article in Papers about Cullum?

If and its a VERY BIG IF, we do get someone like PETER CULLUM, a lifelong Norwich man and fan buying in, then this would make my week.

The 3.5 m quoted will be something like 1.5m now the rest is made up of  if we get in the prem another 1m, after a certain amount number of apperances another 500k, when and if he scores 30+ goals another 500k etc so its not 3.5m in one hit or might only be around 2m

The quote from the Guardian is from the Guardian Rumours page.  All the Grauniad is saying by reporting it is that there is a rumour to this effect - which is patently true; there''s a rumour right here on this board.   And the Telegraph quote is from the Telegraph Transfer Talk.  All they''re saying is that this is being talked about.   Which again is true; we''re talking about it.  I don''t know what''s going on, but quotes from a "Rumours" or a "Talk" page don''t prove a lot.  There may be something to it; equally, somebody may have put two and two together and made five, and started a rumour, leading to fevered internet speculation.  The national press rumour pages then report (correctly) the existence of the rumour.   And the fevered speculation then takes the report of the rumour as proof that it''s true.
