He has. Hardly a difficult choice.

You can tell he is Irish, by the way, because when he thought Liverpool were in for him he announced that "Liverpool are my favourite club."

I note that his favourite club is now....errr....Celtic.

I am not sure that I am overly worried. Look at where he has played, one stint at Rochdale otherwise playing in an Irish league that isnt exactly highly rated. If he does well at Celtic, which basicaly means holds down a first team place then all credit to him.As for Liverpool and Celtic - both seem to be popular with the Irish, is it because of the religious links or because both cities have links to Ireland or both. It never surprises me when they sign and Irish player.

I''m disappointed, he would have been much more likely to get a game with us. I think his judgment has been clouded not just by the size of the club but by the romance of going to Celtic (I guess they''re huge in Londonderry).

Hucks less likely to go to Celtic if they keep signing wingers - I keep seeing his 4 x 4 anyway so he''s still here!

It''s a bit of both.  Most Irish emigrees to the UK ended up in Liverpool (ferry) and there is still a huge Irish community in and around - the Catholic bit is more with Everton than Liverpool but he''s NI (only a joke).  Huge Catholic support in Ireland for Everton and Celtic but many glory hunters  for Man U as well.

If a quality player is looking for money and a club with ambition we will always miss out on his signature, its just part of life and to be honest you cant blame them.

FOOTBALL MUST COME FIRST

Would be nice if the Pink Un could update the home page.

Or are they scouring this mornings posts for a new story?
