AndyJR 0 Posted June 25, 2008 Canaries want Manchester City striker 18:01 June, 25, 2008 Norwich City Football Club hope to strike a deal for Ched Evans this summer. The 19-year-old Manchester City striker spent three months at Carrow Road last season and notched ten goals to stave off relegation, and Glenn Roeder would love to take him back for the 2008/09 campaign. "I wouldn''t think signing a new deal will make any difference to what Ched does this year, whether it''s at Manchester City or at another club," said the Canaries boss. "He''s still very young but he left here much more mature, much nearer being a man than when he arrived and now it''s up to Mark Hughes to decide what his future holds in this coming season. “He may decide to keep him, or to loan him out or sell him on. “We will obviously be keeping an eye on the situation and that''s all I''m prepared to say." Would love him back.
Norma Stick 0 Posted June 25, 2008 Andy, I''ve been having the same thoughts about Evans too. I think we''ll get him on a season long loan. Although he signed a 3 year contract, I can see Hughes letting him go away for another season, to further his education as it were. Can''t see it being another Premier League club, as, other than perhaps Hull or Stoke, he wouldn''t be guaranteed to start every week. Therefore the Championship is the obvious option. And where better to go than NCFC, where he was obviously wel looked after last season, and improved as a consequence.Let''s hope so, anyway.
