Creative Midfielder 1,996 Posted December 7, 2003 Whilst I agree with the sentiments I''m not really sure why he wrote the article, given that the board have already publicly committed that all the funds raised by the share issue will be added to the player budget.Clearly they cant launch a share issue and say they will buy a specific player but it seems to me they''ve said everything they can which is that Worthington will get the cash to spend on ''wages, transfer fees or loan players''. Actually this is my only worry - I would happily stump up for a Crouch or a Huckerby (even a Harper) but what if Worthington gets the cash and then signs another Emblen or Rivers?
