Patience...

Recommended Posts

There''s a lot of comments made on here or from the club along the lines of...."be patient"...."wait and see what happens"...."nobody signs in June"...."other clubs haven''t signed anyone" etc

Well quite frankly I''ve run out of patience. It''s been tested to the limits by season after season of mediocrity and disappointment.

I waited patiently all through the last January transfer window and we ended up with a load of loan kids who are now a distant memory. I waited patiently all through the summer of 2006 for Munby''s promised signings and we ended up with a single player - Croft. A player that Worthy wouldn''t / couldn''t play for more than 20 minutes as he''d had no pre-season and was unfit.

Each season we''re told that we can''t expect to compete with this club or that club and each season the list of ''bigger'' / better financed clubs gets longer and frankly more ridiculous....Hull and Bristol City!?!? Even Forest who have languished in League 1 for the last few seasons have bid / spent close to 4 million.

This week the club announce it''s sold out of season tickets and refer to the special relationship that exists between itself and the fans. It is a special relationship. The only thing we had to celebrate last year was narrowly avoiding the disaster that the club had got itself into through mismanagement at every level. And yet the supporters come back for more and no doubt there''s alot of back-slapping in the Carrow Road board room celebrating a job well done.

We currently have the weakest squad that I can remember and limited funds to do anything to fix it. Where are the heroes? The ''in-betweenies''?  Where are the players that are going to make it worthwhile heading down to Carrow Road week after week again next season? Some midfielder from Aberdeen or Luton? 2 Blackpool players that had an impressive first season in the champioship?

We deserve better and we deserved it a long long time ago

Sala - was your post containing Doncaster''s response taken off here?

Pete - something to do with posting personal replies on a public message board?

Me neither, I have e-mailed twice and not even had an acknowledgment, which in itself is very unusual.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, Crystal Palace have signed a new right back from Charlton this morning:

Of course, as you know, no ones doing any buisness yet...............are they Mr Doncaster?

To be fair Wiz I really couldnt care less about other clubs and who they do or don''t sign.  My interest is in NCFC alone.

He replied today, he had been on holiday! Glad someone can relax.

And yes my post was deleted, I think I can say though that Mr D did say that Ipswich''s bid for Ameobi was nowhere near the amount quoted in the press, and when I claimed that he, as in Mr D, had basically said we are skint, he denied it, saying that we were definately not skint!

Quite what a the comment about a "Black Hole" along with pretty much every press release he makes were then is anyones guess!

THE PROBLEM IS MONEY!!!

It is getting ridiculous, since we were relegated from the prem on transfer fees alone we had an income of 19m with 8.5m being spent on players. I know that there is signing on fees, wages etc... but we never had this problem when we were in the championship before we went up. Why is it despite the money we got from the prem and an extra 19m from transfers we fail to have any money available.

Sometimes I wonder if the board are actually pocketing the money, it does seem strange that we have lost 10.5m plus the parachute payments.
He was only saying a couple of weeks ago that we didn''t have any money, I have had a feeling for a while that there was something regarding new finance coming into the club going on beheind the scenes and when Doncaster makes comments like that it does make you wonder. This club certainly wouldn''t publicise the fact that we had plenty of money avaliable, it could be an interesting next few weeks.

These figures bear absolutely no relevance to how a football club is run.
And they also verge on the libellous (slanderous?) so I would be a little bit careful what you say. The club is a public company- if the board were raking off money from the club, wouldn''t it be quite clear from the accounts?

"Be careful what I say" ''Snuff aid?'' I didn''t say anything about the board creaming off the finances.....and if you''re insinuating that I did, then you''re doing exactly what you''re accusing me of.

Now, just you be careful.....and read who actually posted the initial post, that Rapper Wrighteous retorted to.

I couldn''t give a flying dogs poo what the club say or do, the bottom line is that they''ve wasted millions on stadia and office whilst the football side of the FOOTBALL club has declined to such a state that we rely on teenage loans and second rate has beens. Take me to court? I''d take the bleeders to the cleaners! Wasters the lot of em. No buggers bigger than our club and those little lot need to realise it. Mark my words, if they dont spend soon the little gentlemens club will need a new home to conduct there business.[:@]

Like i said walpy the league position bears relevence of how a club is run. The ''''not so bright'''' fans will still think things are rosy after flirting with relegation to the 3rd tier of english football. xxx[:D]

Keep your hair on Mello - my comments were aimed at Ncfclad, not you, as I would hope would be obvious to anyone reading the thread.

I''ll be extra specially careful not to insinuate anything about you from now on. OK?
