Now I promised to keep you lovely old Free Bet Pickers up to date with what was going on . What I can report is that Nutty Nigel Is away on holiday for two weeks and when he returns I will start my holiday , so you see we have you lovely old Pickers covered just in case something occurs that we can sort out . When I return in the the middle of July no doubt refreshed and full of energy I intend to meet with Billy Dixon of Dixmar Racing when I am at my zenith to bring you the Free Bet again for next season .

I think I need this piece of time between the middle of July until the start of the season (Aug 9th) to sort the rota out , I have one or two Pickers who have already told me they want to make the final selections if I am successful in securing the Free Bet for next season . these are Berkshire , Mr Chops , 1st Wass, P''boro, so these will be the first one''s up . Now that''s all In the future but you know I have told you lovely old Pickers so many times that arrdee always gets his own way , so when I come back from Bulgaria be ready to help our great club our one and only Norwich City . arrdee.

Yes of course you lovely old boys , now please remember we haven''t got the Free Bet yet but I am very confident of getting it , only because Nutty Nigel has looked at me with a big smile on his face , shaking his head , saying , "everyone loves you arrdee there isn''t a person in this world who can say no to you", I don''t know about that , I think he is exaggerating but we will see. arrdee.

Thanks for that Fellas, I do intend to have a good time on holiday and I am sure Nutty is enjoying himself at this moment with his family in Turkey . I think the work and effort that Nutty and myself have achieved has been repaid when we unearth a star like Fellas , I remember telling Nutty we have found  what I called a "star in the east"and boy oh boy was I right , I am just looking forward to next season , when I think with the great Pickers we have , with the talent we have at hand ,well I can''t say anymore because things are not yet in place but when they are well , Its going to be more than exciting especially with the instant posting , we can keep up with latest without moving from the Free Bet thread , great stuff. arrdee.

Now Lapp, no doubt you are such a lovely old boy and indeed perhaps one of the sweetest ever on this board but Ruth has told me so many times that my legs are the best in the country, far better than Kevin  K''s (her hero) so muscular , so perfect , Now when we look at you Lapp what do we see ? Now Kathy , you lovely young attractive young lady , now how did the the Bar-B -Q  go ? I didn''t realise it was the official Independent supporter club barbeque , the answer to the question I want to know is, which of the flavors we gave you went best on the drumsticks ? was it the  Chinese  or the smokey barbeque ? I must admit I do feel humble to have been selected as the butcher to provide you with what I consider the best meat in the world for the Independent supporters club . nothing is too good for our great club . Now you lovely old Pickers , an interesting snippet of information that Nutty came up with when doing the stats for the season gone was the times the top 6 tipsters got their selections correct , if someone had just been doing their selections every week they would have won a fortune . Nutty said "if anyone had a £5 on the top 6 pickers selections , if they didn''t win they would have been in with a squeak every week" The top 6 pickers were , Yankee, Newyork, Fellas, Inch_high, Devon, and some lovely old boy whose name escapes me at the moment . Now I think thats more than an interesting point . I am sure you Punters have got your thinking caps on .[Y] arrdee.

I''ve got the page book marked on my laptop, which I don''t have a hand at the moment ardee. But I do remember working out (because I''m a bit of a maths and stats geek) that for the top 7 pickers or something the percentage of times we got it right was about 30ish % (although I not completely sure it might be higher but 30 rings a bell). Which works out quite well. But that said you have to take into consideration that some matches were picked well more than once.

My own personal favourite was the garlic, although it didnt do my love life a lot of good. BTW Ray you are likely to be asked towards the end of August to supply the Reepham Independent Drinkers Association as well. [:)]

Now you lovely old pickers , I was just having an add up of the Pickers who have volunteered to make the final selections and it now stands at 16, yes thats right 16 , a far cry from when I started the Free Bet when I couldn''t get anyone to do it .

I do feel proud that so many of you lovely old fans want to help our wonderful club in this way and remember there is no finger pointing on the Free Bet pages arrdee wont have any of that , its just a bit of entertainment , a bit of fun for you lovely old posters and always remember its your Free Bet not mine , its just something I have given you for you to enjoy and help your club .
