alot of upheaval, yet not on the board.

Recommended Posts

I was led to believe the Turners came on to the board to, amongst other things, monitor Neil Doncaster. Now having chatted to our illustrious chief exec a number of times, there''s no disputing he''s a nice bloke. However, he is a solicitor, how on earth he ever became chief exec of our fine club is a mystery to me, and over recent times his lack of experience in the matters of being on a board of directors has become apparent. I mean, even kevin platt has more knowledge than Neil, and young Mr Doncaster worked with Platty originally upon joining the club. Why haven''t the board done anything about this, do they all like Neil taking that flack, or do they think he really is a great chief exec? Despite common misconceptions Norwich has many companies within its fine city, why not approach a managing director (or chief exec) of one of these. They''d surely be able to run the club as a business a lot better than a club solicitor. Why have the turners promised to monitor Neil and then just ignore his lack of anything productive.I like Neil Doncaster as a person, always responding to any email you send him, but I just feel the club needs someone who can do the job a lot better, to run the club and attract much needed investment.please feel free to shout me down now, its a free world!

NeilNeil Doncaster Chief Executive Neil

reports to the Board and is responsible for all departments within the

Club - first team, academy, catering, sales & marketing and

operations.  Neil also chairs the Finance Group and the

Executive Committee, which comprises of the heads of each department

and is concerned with Club strategy. As a Solicitor he still advises

the Club on many legal issues, although the Club increasingly rely on

outside assistance for larger legal projects, as required.

How he became Chief Exec I know not.
