True - Press Conference Tuesday

Someone in the know, who cannot be named has confirmed to me, a press conference will be held today. He is pretty sure it is not just for Hoolahan but 1 other as well.

Not currently in the know but someone who can be named are the Norwich City Press Office.  On our daily call to them just now they told my daughter they are "not aware" of any Press conferences for today. "Nothing so far that we know about," was the comment.  "We''ll ring if there is."

From what i know from my mates in the local media it is entirely possible that the press office at carrow road would not tell you even if there was one later today. In recent times they have taken to giving people about 1 hours notice of any press conferences presumably due to paranoia over leaks getting out.

We run our own Agency and specialise in politics, mostly for the Sundays.  But we have a contract with the Daily Star for soccer news for East Anglia or what they define as East Anglia which, in their case, includes Hull and Grimsby.

We''ve found them fairly straightforward in the past 18 months or so but you could be right.  All Press Offices lie - that''s their job.

Not saying they lie as such more that they are very cagey with what info they will give out to the local media. I suppose to be fair they may have a press conference pencilled in but can''t confirm it until they get the nod from Roeder/Doncaster and in such circumstances they can''t say a lot other than "not so far as we''re aware" as if they said "yes we are preparing for one but we can''t confirm it until he actually signs" it would cause a feeding frenzy!
