Board Swearing

I''m probably going to get some stick for saying this.

I think some people are writing things on the boards that would never have been able to be posted previously due to moderation. No-one minds using asteriks e.t.c. on the odd occasion  but some people are writing the full word and just adding an * in the middle and posting.

I haven''t got a problem with most of it but there is an increasing amount of unecessary swearing being used and I know I am not the only person whose noticed this.

Everyone likes free speech and want''s to air their views like they would in the street but when they said they were removing moderation there were certain rules we had to abide by.

You will always get people on here who''s intellect is such that they know no other form of language, and each sentence is formed of F this or P that.  There are so many wonderful words in the English language, it''s just a shame that a minority cannot use words other than swear words to express how they feel.

True but I''m talking more about people who are writing the actual word, my posts have been moderated and no-ones mentioned my username to me yet. But what I''m saying is some people have written things that when under moderation would not have been posted.

I think there is a place for swearing - those who refuse to swear are, in fact, the ones who are limiting their vocabulary rather than those who choose to!

Of course there is a place for swearing, and believe me in person I swear like a trouper, providing of course Im not in the company of children, or those who I may deem may get offended.  People who use swearing every other word show they have no/or very little knowledge of the English language.

There''s not an awful lot of swearing going on though is there? There is some but it''s just reflective of the society we live in, walk 100 yards down a busy street tomorrow and see how many different swear words you hear.

Its not just swearing, its also blatant insults toward other users and a total disregard of the terms and conditions regarding the use of this message board. Its time for those of us who want a return to a worthwhile democratic message board where opinions are shared in a civilised manner to stand up and be counted !

I must admit that i''m probably one of the worst for this, i just seem to write like i would say it where as before when things were moderated i would always be careful about what i was saying as to not have to write the post again. I did e-mail the Mod''s and pre-warn them about my use of language and the way my attitude would be if someone were to upset me.

I promise there will be no more beastiality and maybe i might have to change some of the jokes on the joke thread but as for the swearing, i just cant fucking help myself
