If you had looked closely at Granty, he had a woolly sock over each hand.....(breaking them in for the Puppeteer, as the socks belonged to some fell-walker - and were still quite stiff.....and pungent). Peter''s going to stitch some buttons on them, and add felt-tip mouths and noses to them.....Granty''s really hit the ground running, and knows a future superstar when he sees one....Just got to sort out some decent music-cassettes, and the tour will be announced.I''ve been asked to be road crew.....Things are looking up!Now, what was this thread about again? The Chirp 0 Posted May 16, 2008 im new to this site so don''t want to be too opinionated however i would say peter grant has a good rep as a coach still... bar his bad stint as a manager i am suprised he is still signing on as it were... shame mark crossley didn''t go to be our gk coach... met him a few times in my local in surrey when he was at fulham... good man... very good goalie... The Voice of the Thorpe Area 0 Posted May 16, 2008 Poor old Granty. Always seemed a good guy- I''m sure he is.A very good coach, a very good player for NCFC- just not a very good manager though!
BIC 0 Posted May 16, 2008 I understand we''ve got a vacancy for a trainer to look after the under-14 team.Seriously though, he was very well thought of as a trainer at Spam, he just didn''t cut it as a manager, in any way shape or form. He''d never have the nerve to accept a job at NCFC again though - that really would require cast iron balls
