How come he meets Billy Davies at the millenium stadium, which was mentioned in the press at the time... and weeks later Derby, manged by David.. knwo the EXACT amount of the clause to buy Earnie out??? i''ll leave you to work that one out...the fact he is now playing for a side wheo, in all likelihood, will be back where they came from next may means he isnt actually that good is he? no one else wanted him so he has ended up at forest... and they can pay more than QPR, us, Sheffield utd or Cardiff can they?Watch Robert Earnshaw Sign for someone else in a "big money" move next season too.. the blokes fast becoming a journeyman cast off and he took the pi** out of Worthington, Grant and the fans with his attitude... some people have very short memories... jas :)
GJP 79 Posted May 13, 2008 Me thinks Earnie would have stayed with City if it had looked like we were going anywhere, sadly it was quite obvious we weren''t. We had a very poor manager incharge at the time who was bringing inferior players into the team and replaced Earnie with a vastly inferior player. I''d love to see him back, he''s extremely prolific at this level and I''m keen for Norwich to be successful which means we need better quality players than what we''ve got. And as I said, if Norwich looked in better shape I think he would have stayed. Unfortunately we were looking a bit rubbish and a better offer came along so he took it. Stella Canary 0 Posted May 13, 2008 Once again we miss out on a good (if not d&mn annoying) striker:http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/d/derby_county/7395841.stmLove to see who we''re going to bring in, if a team that has been in League One for 2 seasons can get a guy like that!! Earnshaw is no more or less likely to go there than either of those 2 were to come here. He''s gone on holiday now anyway, so it''ll be a while before his next club is decided. Bird Table 0 Posted May 13, 2008 I won''t boo him when he comes here next season, he did a good job in a bloody awful team. He could see the shambles that was coming under Grant and got out of it, I don''t blame him for that.

If players have value clauses like Earnshaw it means that they have to be notified when a bid of that amount or more comes in. What is strange is how some of these other clubs seems to get that amount spot on considering it should be confidential information. When that bid comes in the club inform the player and the player then has the choice of whether to enter talks with the interested parties - not the club as it is in the usual circumstances. The sad thing is every footballer may as well have one because if they want to go then there really is no stopping them. The club ends up paying good wages for a player who isn''t all there as with Damien Francis who''s heart was out of the fight a long time before the season came to an end in the Prem. I don''t give a s**t whether that is the Sunday Times or the News of the World and I have one coming up which could be a competition between both.I''m afraid they will just have to battle it out. As a seller I just await the result and supply accordingly.
Houston Canary 0 Posted May 14, 2008 Premier League relegation battle with Derby or Championship relegation battle with Norwich? - O.J.I didn''t know Derby was IN a relegation battle. Doesn''t "battle" insinuate competition? Ha ha, I get your point. I just had to be a smart azz.
