Team for Sheff Wed

Recommended Posts

For me I don''t give a monkeys about being fair to the team fighting relegation. We should be looking at what is best for NCFC. I would go for;

                             Gilks

Cave-Brown  Spillane  Shackell  Eagle

Chadwick  Russell  Fotheringham  Pattison

                      Martin   Cureton

Subs - Dublin, Hucks, Lathrope, Daley, Doc

No point in playing the loanees and it is chance to have a look at a couple of the fringe players.

The best thing for Norwich would playing a full strength side and trying to pick up 3 points. Ending this season how we intend to start next.

If we sent out that defensive lineup at Hillsborough with Wednesday fighting for their lives we''d get stuffed.

I am not sure that a single game, with Seffield throwing everything at us, is a good opportunity to assess younger players. Spillane may be one to try, as he has played in the first team before, although not recently.Do we still receive money fropm the league according to where we finish in the table? In which case, put  out our strongest team, if Ched and Berty are still around. Perhaps Curo''s self-worth may not be damaged if he is on the bench just for one game.

Why would you start cave-brown, spillane, eagle and martin in the team??!

Don''t get me wrong i''d love to see home-grown talents in the side but only on merit...when will people realise they simply aren''t good enough! Roeder has clearly shown that he likes playing young players but on quality not on sympathy, i''d play the same team as qpr other then russell in for gibbs and dublin for cureton

Gilks

Otsemoboor, Shackell, Spillane,  Bertrand

Chadwick, Fotheringham, Lathrope, Hucks

Dion, Evans

Subs- Marshall, Pattison, Croft, Russel, Cureton

I honestly think this team can get the job done and still try out fringe players. I''m going tomorrow and want a good performance. This team should be able to perform. This could also congratulate Damon Lathrope for his consistant hard work and good performances in the reserves. OTBC!!

i''m only playing curo cos he needs a goal to finish the season on and restore some belief in the boy.  i''d hate him to sit in the dresing room after with a towel over his head blahhing cos he missed yet another sitter!!!  go on jamie - show us wot you''re made of!!!

Gilks

Juan Shack Doc Berty

Croft Fozzy Lathrope Hucks

Dion Cureton

Agreed. Think Curo should play to try and give him a lifeline of confidence - if its another bad day for him though his confidence could be shattered longterm. Risk.

Sam, interesting that your ''footer'' reads "Mark Fotheringham is Crap" (a view I tend to agree with)

...and yet you pick him in your team!

What does Captain Invisible have to offer today? I''d rather play Russell / Spillane in the middle and see if Spillachio is up to the job for next season.

We won 3-0 last week, in what was one of our best performances of the season - it could have been many more, so I''d imagine we will be unchanged.  We should be - what sort of message does it send otherwise? Maybe mix things up a bit from the bench.

Honestly, this isn''t hindsight speaking but it was fairly obvious we were going to get stuffed whatever team we put out;

  1. We had nothing to play for.
  2. We have a shocking record against Wednesday of late (6 straight defeats).
  3. We were taking a large following to an away game which guarantees a heavy defeat.
  4. My mate James went and we always lose and concede 4 when he goes!

Therefore, playing a few of the youngsters would be of more benefit to the club than playing loanees he won''t be here.

Even looking back at it now I''d still play a first choice team of senior players. If there were any youngsters that might be worth giving a run to then that''s different but the likes of Spillane and Eagle don''t particularly inspire me.

Whoops, kinda made a mess of that quote.

So to pick out my actual reply:
