A message for Darren......

Darren I have just watched the interview on the evening news

web site, you stated that you read the messages on there, so I would like to

take the opportunity to use this forum to pass on a message.

 This message is not

just from me its from my mates who have been going to the home of football  ‘Carrow Road’ for the past twenty years.

Firstly, a BIG THANKYOU for everything that you have brought

to Norwich City Football Club and to us the supporters.

 In the 20 years of

watching NCFC we are all in agreement that no other player has showed such

commitment to the club, and given us such entertainment on the pitch. No other

player that we can recall gave us that air of hope every time they had the ball

and lifted the ground in expectation. That’s what’s going to the footy is all

about, watching players like you.

I’m personally gutted that we were not able to give you a

send of like you deserve. You said that you were gutted, so are we.

 Although Dion was a

great player who had a great career, it in my opinion and many others

overshadowed the fact that it could have been your last game in a City shirt. I

felt that it was a travesty at the end of the final game of the season,

during the lap of honour, someone who gave so much had to play second fiddle.

The ground should had been yours.You deserve a lot better!!!

I’m SHOCKED that a player of your ability has not been given

another contract by the club. Carrow Road will not be the same place for some

time, but as you say that’s football.

Thank you Darren for everything that you have given to the

football club, and my personally in my enjoyment in watching NCFC. We have let

go a legend and it’s a crying shame. Good luck in what ever you do next in your

career, im sure that you will continue to entertain. Best wishes to you and
