I am day off today and am just settling down to watch the ''Rocket v Williams'' at the Crucible Theatre, and sure as eggs are eggs theirs a City home shirt in the audience.  I was thinking then about no matter where you are in the world, there''ll always be a Norwich shirt seen on your travels.  In a previous life i was in the forces and met a chap from Wroxham treking through the Borneo jungle in his City shirt, we talked breifly, especially about the the next time he ventured in tnto the jungle he would be wearing his away shirt as the colour yellow attracted every known species of bug... and lots of them.  I was wondering  how many other City fans  had seen our beloved shirts on their travels or even unexpected places where it has turned up???

Second day of my holiday in Las Vegas, walked into the Caesar''s Palace casino and saw a young man sitting at a poker table in a Colmans home shirt. Not as remote or as exotic as the Borneo jungle, but still a long way from home.

I was walking around the city walls of Dubrovnik in Croatia, wearing my City shirt when I spotted someone wearing one coming the other way to me. We stopped for a chat.

I always wear mine, all over the world. I often get stopped by City fans. Most recently in Kenya.

There is a Thai girl on the small island of Kho Pha Ngan who has the ''tartan'' blue away shirt after a good freind of mine and poster on this board gave her his.

I have a running joke with rest of my family, that i where ever i go on holiday whether it be in this country or abroad, i see a Norwich shirt!

not quite as far away as some here but i was taking a swimming teaching course in Torquay in devon, sat down during the plymouth home game last season and checked the internet for match scores, guy next to me looks over my shoulder and: "No way you''re a Norwich fan?"gave us something interesting to talk about while the course co-ordinator blabbed on about health and safety

I saw a fat guy in a Colmans shirt on the beach in Viña del Mar in Chile during the New Year celebrations. I was wearing the same shirt myself so it was quite a surprise for both of us. Funnily enough, the guy turned out to be Chilean and he and his family had been living in the Fine City for years.Perhaps someone on here knows who he is - he turned out to be a complete nob

I''ve seen one at Universal Studios while I was in Florida, we were both wearing the home Digital Phone Compay shirt.  Also saw someone in the dark blue and bright green/yellow away top in the Vendee in France once on a campsite.  Sure I''ve seen people in other places but can''t think atm.

Well, I''ve visited quite a number of countries both in Europe and further afield and I can''t honestly remember seeing one City shirt. I have, however, seen them all over the UK.

I was on holiday in Barcelona last year walking through the city centre and there was a Spanish guy in the full kit.I spoke to him and his name was Hugo and he was part of a fan group called the Spanish canaries.  He sang OTBC and ''we love you Paul McVeigh''.  He''s been over a couple of times with the club and been treated to great hospitality!

When visiting Naples a few years ago I took a trip to Pompeii. Whilst taking a tour of the town dressed in my red Norwich & Peterborough shirt (1997 vintage), there was a guy in another group in a City shirt. Later the same day we went to the top of Mount Vesuvius and I saw another couple sporting shirts.

A binner shouted "scum" at me when I was wearing my DPC shirt in Cairns, Austraila. They''ve no idea how to behave those TITS (travelling ipswich town supporters). I provided the latest results to a fellow yellow on a beach in Thailand too whilst in the shirt.

I moved to canada a few yrs ago and live in a small city called camrose  pop 16,000 and  there are a group of us NCFC supporters that live here 27 in total 5 of us who come from norwich so we  are well supported all over only trouble is we do not get 2 see to many city games over here so rely on this forum for updates and such any of you have any suggestions how we can watch some of the games. we cannot get audio as the BBC does not go out to canada  any suggestions would be appreciated

Very true on nearly every holiday i''ve been on, i''ve seen city fans, Orlando check, Perpignan (south of france) check, Barca check. i just guess the Yellow stands out abit more than other kits, and there is soo damn many of us! :D

Bob, you can get audio through Canaries World, for 40 quid a year or something. PLus, ,you should be able to see games that are broadcast live on Sky by looking through the channels on Sopcast or some other such sitewww.sopcast.com/

I was in Aruba this past December wearing a Canaries cap, and this nice older couple one of the beachside resort bars couldn''t believe that they not only found another Canaries fan (they lived in Norwich and have season tickets) but that the fan (me) was an American.  That really threw them for a loop.

About six years ago I checked into a hotel in Georgetown, Penang in Malaysia, when the porter brought my cases to the room and seeing my UK passport on the table asked what football team I supported, replying "you''ve probably never heard of us, but Norwich City". He smiled and shouted "Come on you yellows, I''ve just come back from living in Beccles and I''ve always hated the Scum".

Probably should start another thread with this but I did also meet waiting for a delayed midnight flight out of Bombay  a jeweller from Birmingham, unfortunately he was also a Baggies fan but his big redemption was that he had made my all time favourite player''s engagement ring, the one and only Kenny Foggo!. Anyone remember Norwich 5 Blackpool 1?

What a pleasure to read this thread. Just goes to show you can find a Norwich fan anywhere.

I have found other city fans everywhere I have lived and travelled. Even deepest Suffolk, after all living there is real fun, especially so during the year of the Milk Cup. Happy memories.

I gave a city shirt to a kid selling souvenirs at Angkhor Wat in Cambodia. It was during our Premiership season and they told me the yellow shirt was considered a very lucky colour.

There''ll be a lot more soon. There''s a stag weekend going from Norwich to Budapest at the end of May. There''ll be plenty of yellow on show that weekend. Keep an eye out for us!

In an amazing day of Norwich City televised recognision, we were also mentioned in the film ''Mission Impossible'' last night.  As the Mission Impossible team moved into there digs in London they had a ''Five Live'' type programme on in the background... did anyone else hear of West Hams visit to Norwich mentioned???
