Thecanaryfan 0 Posted May 1, 2008 Got my bargain of a ticket today. The lovely lady who ran my order said we have so far sold 4k of a 6k allocation. I hope we sell tham all come Sunday. Have always loved the last game of the season and the bigger the turnout the better.Does anybody agree that it would be horrible if we sent Weds down?? I know they have kicked our butts about of late but their fans have suffered years of underachievement.
InLambertWeTrust! 0 Posted May 1, 2008 I''m just glad Norwich are staying up
Fat Barman 0 Posted May 1, 2008 I don''t think it would be horrible to send them down, just football. Their other 45 games are as responsible as the last - we wouldn''t have worried about sending them down by beating them last week would we? It depends on the individual whether you sing ''Going Down...'' if we happen to win on Sunday - I, for one, remember Owls fans running on the pitch to have a go at us when we were promoted in 1982(?) despite a 2-1 defeat on the day, so would have no problem in having a laugh at their expense. shefcanary 2,940 Posted May 1, 2008 I remember that too - as well as the supporter who was in the box and went to head a cross towards the end, taking two Norwich defenders with him and allowing one of the Wednesday players to score the winner. I wonder what would have happened if that had kept us down that year - I bet there would have been no Leeds or West Ham shenanigans. Still from a personal point of view if Wedensday stay up at least that''ll be another away trip I won''t have to get up too early for so forgive me if I do feel a bit sorry for them if they do go down. Plus I have to encourage some of their fans to work for me the following week!!!!

Thecanaryfan 0 Posted May 2, 2008
4200 tickets sold as of Wed morning so I heard.
Would that be our biggest of the season? Not sure how many we took to Scum but dont think it was as many this. Just discovered that Hillsbrough is going to be sold out for the first time in donkeys years. With a capacity of 39,812, minus an appox underspend of 1,500 from our entitlement, we should be looking at a 38,500 turnout. Should be awsome!

hogesar 10,713 Posted May 3, 2008 Do people know how much of the lower tier will be used? Because i thought they filled upper first. Only interested because tickets came today and told me i am lower!
Wembley_Canary 0 Posted May 3, 2008
Do people know how much of the lower tier will be used? Because i thought they filled upper first. Only interested because tickets came today and told me i am lower!
I have been told by a Wednesday fan that away fans are forced to fill the upper tier first, so therefore there will be less City fans in the lower tier. He also seems to think that there will be a few Wednesday fans in the away lower tier, such is the high demand for tickets on this final league game.
