Pinks 0 Posted March 29, 2008 I had earlier thought it was gonna be Blackpool but after today I think the Saints are down. They have won a single game since mid December and are having trouble scoring according to Pearson. They could find themselves in the bottom three if Wednesday win midweek. They have a pretty nasty run in too.Bristol City HCharlton ABurnley HWest Brom ASheffield Utd H
Graham Humphrey 13 Posted March 29, 2008 Well I certainly wouldn''t want to be a Southampton fan by now - although you can never tell what''s going to happen (especially in this league) that''s a pretty horrible set of fixtures.
YoungCanary 0 Posted March 31, 2008 Yer i think i agree with you there, it has to be either them or Barnsely who have very tough fixtures and their thoughts might be on the cup!Aslong as we are safe i don''t really care to be fair! Considering we were bottom by a few points at one point, i am a happy lad.
Branston Pickle 4,149 Posted March 31, 2008 I''ll readily accept that our run-in is tricky, but if you look at the remaining fixtures for the sides around us it is no worse than others and imo not as nasty as some. Of course in this league pretty much all sides can beat each other on their day, so there should be no complacency on our part, but I''d certainly prefer our remaining list to that of Southampton. Or, indeed, Coventry, who seem to be ouside many people''s thoughts: after playing Sheff Wed on Tuesday they have Watford/Charlton/Colchester away and Stoke/Wolves at home, so they could well be behind us going into that nasty looking run of 4 out of 5 sides gunning for promotion/play-off slots. Tangible Fixed Assets anyone? 0 Posted March 31, 2008 If Southampton get relegated may be we can sign Resiak in the summer?
