GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary 2,035 Posted March 29, 2008 I''ve gotta say , remembering the pre-season friendly against Lowestoft at the start of this season- I wouldn''t have had them down for a side going to Wembley come the end of it !!
Boyo 0 Posted March 29, 2008
Nah, they''re in Suffolk!
I come from Lowestoft, so I will say congratulations to them. Just cos they come from Suffolk don''t mean we have to hate them like we do Ipswich. The only team in Suffolk we should hate is Ipswich the rest are ok. There are loads of Norwich fans in Lowestoft and around that area anyway.Good luck Lowie!!!!!
Bigmarkcanary 0 Posted March 29, 2008 I think it''s brilliant that Lowestoft have got through to Wembley in the final of the FA Vase for the first time in history. But bloody hell did they make hard work of it! They thrashed Whitley Bay 4-0 at home last weekend, and then this afternoon they were 3-0 down by half-time! And Lowestoft (or Lowstuff as it''s locally pronounced) started with an injured keeper as well [:^)]It''s a shame though that we can''t have an all-Suffolk final as Needham Market got beaten on aggregate this afternoon, does anyone know what the score was? Didn''t do my heart much good, getting the updates on that game on Radio Norfolk whilst listening to the Norwich game as well. Hopefully, when I know what date Lowstuff are playing at Wembley in May, I should be able to go. Hopefully, he says....
Canarygeorge 0 Posted March 29, 2008 Half of the team, including the captain, Marc Saunders are good old Gorleston boys. Well done to the lads.

Web Team - Celia Sutton 0 Posted March 30, 2008 Advice from EDP sport is that ticket details aren''t available yet, but they reckon there will be no problem getting a ticket. Check on the Lowestoft Town site, and also on Pink Un local leagues section as our reporters will be chasing the FA tomorrow.Celia

knockin on heavens door 0 Posted March 31, 2008 Well, I''m a suffolk boy, born in Beccles, spent all my school years living in Lowestoft. My Grandfather, from Beccles, watched Norwich play at Newmarket Road and the Nest, while my Dad, from Beccles, began watching Norwich at Carrow Road before the war, as I have been since 1970.What got me into following Norwich was my family... not which side of the Waveney I lived. And what first got me into football was my Dad taking me across the swing bridge up to Crown Meadow almost as soon as I could walk.I''m going to the final. It could well be the only chance I get to cheer on a club team at Wembley that means something to me...and that''s what I like best about football.Ticket details are here: http://www.lowestoft-town-fc.co.uk/
