Graham Humphrey 13 Posted March 23, 2008 That''s what I was wondering. Did he pick up an injury? He certainly seemed okay during the game though...
Houston Canary 0 Posted March 23, 2008 Perhaps the team Doherty realized that the Doc was not fit to play. I mean, the team Doc realized that Doherty was not fit to play. I did notice we gave up 0 goals in the 2nd half.

Houston, you have a problem...
Houston Canary 0 Posted March 23, 2008 I think my 10 year old wearing deep sea diving boots could out jump Doherty!I don''t think Doherty is all THAT bad, but he is completely undeserving of the amount of fawning he gets from the likes of Mr Chops. I asked before why there doesn''t seem to be any interest in his services from other teams but never got an answer to that. I already know the answer: Because he ain''t ''all that''.Hey, where''d my easter eggs go?

If he''s getting praise it''s because he deserves it.

I defend him when people who are ignorant in what constitutes a decent Championship standard centre-back decide to weigh in with ill-founded opinions. I also defend him against people who seem to need a "hate figure" in the team they claim to support. Happy to clear that up.But no, I don''t think Sir Alex Ferguson will be calling Roeder and making any enquiries.

Mason 47 2,036 Posted March 23, 2008 At times Ive slated Doc... however I have to say hes our best centre back at the club. Shakell- see their goal yesterday... Haliday- Never tried, looks unlikely to make the grade... Bexfield- who!?!... Pearce- Pretty damn good and runs it close, the only down points are lack of experiance and the fact he isnt ours. I also heard Spillane could play there but do we want him there?Must have been injured, right?
Green and Yellow 0 Posted March 23, 2008 I can inform you with 100% certainty Doc picked up a slight back injury during the first half.
shropshire-lad 0 Posted March 23, 2008 I don''t get to see the team as much as I would like nowadays but I do watch the Doc dispassionately when I do. He is an awful Championship defender! He is not a bad stopper but his distribution is terrible he seems unable to find a colleague with a pass just boots the aimlessly upfield usually to an opposition player which immediately puts the defence back under pressure. His positional sense is non existant. I would dealy love to see him do well as his commitment is not in doubt he just lacks talent!
scott 0 Posted March 23, 2008 The Doc - good stopper, not that great in the distribution department! - but overall you''ll not get many better CB''s in this Division! Games are much clearer and you get a much better understanding of whats happening in the game when your actually in the ground and not listening to coverage over the internet or on the radio either in this Country or in another Country!! I just hope whatever the problem was that caused the Doc to go off won''t keep him out for very long cause we looked better at the back when he was on the pitch!
