ManchesterCanary 0 Posted February 24, 2008 How refreshing to see such a young team yesterday (albeit many of them loanees). Earlier in the season we were a team of geriatrics. Roeder is well known at WHU and Newcastle for his work with the youngsters, long may it continue so that we can build a younger team. I believe under an astute manager youth play with less complacency and fear, and with more flair (a la Aston Villa). If we keep a nucleus of experience but continue to add youngsters it bodes well for the future. In our financial situaton we would be hard pushed to find a better manager for this task. Roeder has already proved himself beyond even the most optimistic of projections. I hope the board back him to the full and he agrees that we may also be the perfect club and supporters for him.
