Macworld magazine is the UK''s leading macintosh magazine and shortlisted Dave in their ''creative choice'' section at their annual awards night in London last week.The magazine had previously discovered Dave''s work when they previously featured him in their magazine for his use of Applemac products. The sports scientist has managed to cleverly combine several pieces of software from specialist manufacturers such as Miglia to develop a digital video analysis programme that provides statistics and video footage which is capable of analysing player and team performance during matches and training sessions.The system is run from an AppleMac G4 Power Book laptop so it has the advantage of being portable as well. This cutting edge technology has put the Canaries ahead of many of the Premiership''s biggest clubs in terms of the technology it uses. Other users of the system within the world of sport are the England Rugby and Hockey teams.“It was quite an accolade to reach the final shortlist and was the end to a perfect season when we actually won the award amidst such tough competition,” said Dave.Proudly writing this on my Powerbook G4...!
