Loans, Loans and More loans? Any signings?

Recommended Posts

Hi, all

I don''t mind loan players, they can spark off a team like P. Crouch, Hucks, Patterson, Ched etc did. They create both backup and competition for players who think there place is cemented as theres no-one else about. ( dury, Shacks, Doc).

But unless they sign at the end of there term then the team building excerise of the next two months may have been for nought!

Ok so we are still in a small hole and climbing everso slowly out of it. Hopefully a win on Sat would give us a 8 point gap.

The Reading players and the Middllesbourgh player may be permenant signings in the summer if they produce the magic. Its clear that Glen has his eye on some players now for the summer rebulid and just wants to get out of trouble before consentrating on the bigger picture.

For me, it will be great to see what these new player do on the pitch. Are they Reading rejects like Jarvis bros or are they talented like Ched? Is the Mids Defender a avreage player stuck in the reserves or will his Prem class show in the Championship like Taylors clearly did in his loan spell?

We will find out.

Hopefully by the time they go home after the loan periods we will be safe and starting to think about the summer rebuild and new season friendlys etc...

Do you think we should have tried to sign players rather than loans? or does Glen like to monthly trial the players first before having a option to buy?

A lot of Grants and worthys signing never made the grade. Perhaps they should have loaned them first?

Cheers All

There is the possibility that Glenn is accepting a comfortable mid-table finish. Getting lots of players in on loan to trial ahead of a Summer spending spree (On proven players having proved themselves on their loans)

But a bit of money spent in January wouldnt go amiss.
