I heard that Hugh Jackman (Wolverine from X-men movies) was a Norwich fan as his mother is from Norfolk. Now that has to be the best celeb Fan!

Politically you can add:-

Ed Balls (Minister for Schools)

Norman Lamb (North Norfolk MP)

and both Norwich MPs Ian Gibson and Charles Clarke

(Don''t know any others from the House of Lords apart from me though!)

I think these lists are a tad old, the give away clue for me was John Peel, surely he no longer supports anyone since he is "pushing up the daisys"

Sophie Ellis Bextor is not a Norwich fan.  Her ex-boyfriend from 96867425 years ago was.  She found us "boring", apparently.Another Aussie fan would be Caitlin Stacey, of Neighbours fame.  There''s a picture of her at City (5)v(1) Barnsley on her myspace page, if I remember correctly.
I think these lists are a tad old, the give away clue for me was John Peel, surely he no longer supports anyone since he is "pushing up the daisys"
Interesting considering so far as I can mention he doesn''t even mention it in his book (Margrave of the Marshes). I still think it is a bit far fetched to claim someone as a fan if they sort of suggest they kinda have you as a seccond team (and as you say have sadly passed away). If that is the case how many more people would say we are their seccond club?To add to that James Blunt is from round here - or so the magazine on the train said, maybe he is a fan too.Other than that I am sorry - but I couldn''t give a damn. Whilst I have a lot of respect for these people with celebrity status, come matchday they are just another fan. That''s why I love football.

Apparantly he used to play darts in the Kimberley Tavern near the old hospital.

John Peel was a lifelong Liverpool fan and would often play quite stirring tracks sampling The Kop singing, and often end shows with "you''ll never walk alone"  I think it was his partner "The Pig" who was the Ipswich fan, and so he became one by association, poor chap.  As a big JP fan he did upset me by playing radio commentry on his show from the binners when they somehow fluked to beat us.  I did once send him a mp3 of "on the ball", but never heard if he played it or not...
