NCFC supporters more loyal than the Geordies!

Recommended Posts

NCFC supporters are more loyal than the Geordies.

An article yesterday, headlined "No, Toon are not the special ones".

"The football club is a one club city."

Newcastle with a population of 280,000, a an average attendance of just 16,879 when they had a dodgy season, in what is now the Championship.

Norwich, (population 126,000), had an average of 24,565 last season despie a dismal season.

Leeds averaged 27,000.

When Man City played at that level, they drew an average of 28,273.

I can add, that West Ham averaged 33,000 for two years when they were in the Championship.

There are 3,000 fans who turn out week after week at Rochdale, they are hardcore fans.

Keegan tells us that the club deserves success because they are a unique club with unique supporters. He makes it sound like a crusade.

" I reckon that the journalist could be spot on. Do you agree with Keegan''s view or ours?

All the "Toon army a the most lyal fans" guff really annoys me.

The same goes for Sunderland. Whenever they were in the championship they got a two third of the attendance that they now get in the premiuership. Thats not what I call loyal.
